Shopify inbox is all spam. It’s a waste of time and detracts from actual customer engagement. Wish it were more reliable and could filter the bots out.

Hi, there. I understand how frustrating it can be to receive spam messages, and that your time is much better spent helping customers. You do have the option to block a conversation, though I know this can also be time consuming if you're receiving spam from multiple users. Looks easy to set up and use but from client perspective the chat icon bugs everytime they try to initiate a chat. When they clic on the icon, it desepears and the website freeze completetly. It is so bad for client experience. How to avoid that? So for now i had to disable it.

I'm happy to let you know that you can control your notification settings within your Shopify Inbox App. Check out these steps: 1.) Login to your Shopify Admin. 2.) Access the 'Shopify Inbox' app from your admin. 3.) On the left hand menu, click the 'notification' menu item that appears underneath 'Inbox.' 5.) Scroll down to the 'Notification Triggers' section and un-check the email notification boxes. This should lead to a reduction in those annoying email notifications for you. -Imogen, Shopify Support

Infelizmente muito fakes e SPAM a todo momento, chegando a 5 mensagens fakes querendo se passar como membro do SHOPIFY para vender algum serviço, mesmo eu bloqueando aparece novos...
Unfortunately, a lot of fakes and SPAM all the time, reaching 5 fake messages pretending to be a member of SHOPIFY to sell some service, even if I block it, new ones appear...

Removing Facebook messenger and Apple business chat takes all the appeal out of this app. Terrible move from Shopify.we will be looking for an alternative and will exploring the possibility of taking our business to another e-commerce platform.

chat icon is directly over Checkout button for some themes and diasables function of it. not recommended...

I can't reconnect back to Instagram and messenger. It says business manager error, also I have changed the business manager and I see the same issue and also get back the Apple Business Chat.

I deleted this app due to spam messages. Shopify's solution to block one spammer at a time is impractical. Shopify support couldn't help.

If you're looking to allow your Staff members to access specific features of Inbox, you'll need to set them up with the correct permissions: https://shopify.link/05Qk on their Staff account, as detailed below.

- To reply to customer messages: ‘Customers’ permissions
- To send product pages in chats: ‘Products’ permissions
- To send discount codes in chats: ‘Discounts’ permissions
- To send draft orders in chats: ‘Draft Orders’ permissions

It blocks the whole page and does not let the visitor exit. If they reload the page, it loads back up. This is a horrible experience.

Hey there, thanks for taking the time to write a review. When you open the chat by selecting the icon on the online store - you can also select the application icon once again to close the chat. With that being said, the application should still allow you to still select items on the online store.
