I'm happy to update my review to five stars!
We had a bit of a rocky start with some technical issues, but the LangShop team reached out, listened to our concerns, and genuinely made an effort to get things sorted.
I really appreciate how they handled everything and the personal attention they gave us. It's clear they care about their customers and want to make things right.
The app itself is a great solution for multilingual Shopify stores, and I'm glad we managed to work things out.

I do not recommend. You can have 3 free languages on the native Shopify and then if you add this app, the 3 you already have for free are counted as if part of their plan, so you need to pay extra to get to add a new language and pay the 3 you already translated with another app. It makes no sense to me. Unistalling it now because I am certainly not paying for the translatation to languages I have already translated the site too...

LangShop has been very useful for managing translations across different parts of our Shopify store. Translating products, pages, theme content, and other components is straightforward and saves us a lot of time.

The app translations were poor at the beginning, until the AI store context feature was implemented. After that, the translations were perfect for around 8–9 months.
Now, the translations sometimes work as expected and sometimes they don’t. This is mostly the case with metafield translations — they sometimes ignore the AI store context, and even glossary rules do not help.
I am convinced this is a bug in the app, but support claims it is caused by OpenAI ChatGPT 5.4. I find this very hard to believe, because the app is the one feeding the data to the OpenAI API. If I paste the same text directly into ChatGPT, it translates everything correctly.
The app currently seems very buggy. Metafield translations are unreliable, both with OpenAI and DeepL Pro, and in their current state they simply cannot be used on a live webshop. It is definitely a frustrating experience for us, and we are investigating our options.
And the support is definitely not 24/7. But that is the smallest issue I have.

Vera was really helpful when we started experiencing a critical issue with our translated menus disappearing across multiple languages. She responded very quickly, investigated the problem right away, and managed to identify and resolve the issue in a short time.
She also took the time to explain exactly what had happened, identified the specific menu item that caused it, and provided practical recommendations to help us avoid similar issues in the future.

The advanced redirect is flawless: right country, right language, right currency, automatically and without a single bug. Quality translations you can still edit by hand, a glossary to keep the brand voice consistent, the whole store translated (theme, third-party apps, checkout, emails, SEO), and a clean switcher.
Super responsive support. We use it on several stores and we're not switching.
