I came here to leave a 1-star review, read the others, and now I realize Loox is significantly worse than I already thought. My main issue is that I'm paying money for a system that refuses to let me moderate the content. So if someone leaves a BS review, I can't delete it. I'm not talking about a legit bad review, but about irrelevant / off-topic / support requests etc. I can "flag" reviews which apparently just delays publication -- although apparently, according to other 1-star reviews, all these bad reviews, even if unpublished, show up in Google anyway. Even worse: I just realized the app pre-approved its own spending limit of $585 per month (!). I can't change it to a lower number. THAT'S $7000 PER YEAR for a reviews app.
Hey,
Yarin from the Loox team here.
We saw your feedback rating your experience with Loox
I'm truly sorry to hear your experience with Loox was not as you expected. I would be more than happy to help you resolve any issues.
I’ve personally reached out to you regarding this matter and am happy to continue the conversation with you privately.
We’ve had a major issue with Loox referral codes adding duplicate items to cart that customers can’t remove. Reported months ago with proof, still not fixed. Cost us sales and returns. Support treated it like a new issue. Not recommended.
Hey, thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. I’m really sorry to hear about your experience. I completely understand how frustrating this situation must have been, especially given the impact on your sales and returns. I was able to locate your previous conversation with our team, and I can see that we followed up on your inquiry, but we haven't heard back afterward. We’d truly appreciate the opportunity to revisit this with you. If you’re open to it, we’d love to continue the conversation and address your concern. Just reply to the email we sent privately or contact us at support@loox.io , and we’ll do our best to make things right.
Be careful with this app. It draws you in with the beginner plan, but once you reach the quota, a number of limitations appear that were never clearly explained when signing up.
Communication then becomes extremely poor, and I was given incorrect information on more than one occasion. Although they say you can continue using the beginner plan, you are required to complete multiple steps every time just to access the Loox app. Most of the time these steps aren’t even available, which means you can’t actually use the app.
I WOULD STRONGLY ADVISE SEARCHING FOR A MORE RELIABLE LONG-TERM REVIEW SOLTUION

Pathetic app for reviews, even after owning a paid plan they will keep increasing prices and then halt usage at certain orders per month.
Hey, I'm sorry to hear that the recent charge came as a surprise. We do our best to keep our pricing clear, with all details available on our website, Shopify listing, and within the app. If you’re open to it, we’d love to continue the conversation and address your concern. Just reply to the email we sent privately, and we’ll do our best to make things right.
WARNING: Predatory and unethical pricing.
They will charge you $0.13 per order, regardless of how many features you use.
And there is NO limit to this, even though they call their plan "SCALE".
Plus, they very obviously try to hide that they charge per order.
Overall, do not use this app unless you want to be totally ripped off.
Hey, thank you very much for sharing this with us. I'm sorry to hear that your latest charge came as a surprise, We do our best to keep our pricing as transparent as possible with all details available on our website, Shopify listing and within the app. I've reached out privately via email to go over your plan with you. This review is about Reviewers.com (a service that’s part of Loox). We tested it and gifted 10 sets of 3 framed prints to their “reviewers,” with a total cost of $2,700. So far (almost one month after delivery), we’ve received 8 reviews instead of 10.
One review was negative and misleading. The reviewer stated that the prints were “not glass like it claimed to be,” even though this was not stated on the product page. They also said the quality was “terrible,” yet didn’t show any specific defect in the video. Without the caption, sound, or text, the video would actually look like a positive showcase of nice prints. This makes the process feel unreliable, even though Loox promised honest reviews.
We also received a few very unprofessional reviews that appear to have been left quickly just to unlock more free products from other brands. Their policy prevents reviewers from requesting new gifts until they leave a review, but there don’t seem to be meaningful consequences for reviewers who never submit one — which likely explains the two missing reviews.
Other important limitations:
You can’t approve or choose who receives your products.
It doesn’t seem like Reviewers.com thoroughly vets reviewers.
To be fair, we did receive 2 really great reviews. But overall, based on our experience, the results didn’t justify the cost and felt risky for brands.
Hey, thank you so much for your feedback. We built this platform to provide merchants with valuable visual social proof, and we’re sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet your expectations. While each member of the community is vetted with a sample review before they’re allowed to join, we’re redefining the community standards for quality and are now re-vetting the entire community to ensure they meet our heightened bar. Although we can’t guarantee a 100% response rate, we send multiple reminders to reduce ghosting, and any Reviewer who doesn’t leave a review on a product is not allowed to participate in future campaigns.
I have been using this application for 2 months. I do not recommend it! I selected the Scale plan and after some time I noticed that in addition to the amount related to the plan they charged me another 40 dollars. I studied a little and saw that they charge a commission for each order!! From my point of view it is not normal for them to charge you as an affiliate without doing anything for those orders. Be careful!!! As for support, they did not respond to any messages. The application is ok but very difficult to set up, they do not offer help. In short, they associate with you in the business and make you do nothing. I decided to uninstall it.
Hey, thanks so much for sharing this. I'm sorry your recent charges came as a surprise. We’ve tried reaching out privately over the last couple of days to review your plan options. If you haven’t seen our latest message, please contact us from the relevant email address at support@loox.io, and we’ll be happy to help.
even though you unpublished the review, they can still be seen on google. Any crazy person can write you a horrible untrue review or just give you 1 star for nothing and even though you "unpublished" it, they are still shown on google. before getting this app, make sure you know this.
Hey, thanks so much for sharing your feedback. In order to participate in Google’s Product Ratings program, merchants are required to follow specific guidelines set by Google. We’d love to continue the conversation and address any concerns you may have, we've reached out to you via email, please feel free to get back to us when convenient - we'd be happy to help.
Strong Warning to Merchants
Hidden charges, extremely misleading pricing. Avoid.
This is one of the most unethical and non-transparent Shopify apps I have ever used.
Loox charges extra fees without clear awareness or meaningful consent, purely based on order count — even if you do NOT use any of their so-called advanced features.
We only used Loox for basic product review display on product pages.
We did NOT:
send review request emails
use upsells
use referrals
use discounts or automations
Yet we were automatically charged an additional $40 “usage fee” per month.
When confronted, support explicitly stated that usage fees apply regardless of whether features are used or not, and they refused to refund charges for unused functionality.
This is not a pricing issue — this is a billing trap designed to quietly extract more money from merchants who don’t constantly audit their Shopify invoices.
Serious warning to all merchants:
Check your Shopify bills every month
Do NOT assume you’re only paying the base plan
Many stores are likely being overcharged without realizing it
I genuinely regret installing this app.
I wouldn’t even give it one star if that were possible.

The app is good, but the support is nonexistent, so it's a 1-star. Tried emailing them multiple times but never got a single response.
