The Omega Instant Search App is not the absolute pinnacle of search apps on Shopify, but their pricing is unmatched and many of the features you'd find in the far more expensive applications you will find in Omega Instant Search, and in some cases better executed.
With an online store carrying over 1,800 digital products including games, software and more, as well as shipped items all geared towards gamers, Omega Instant Search has done a great job of helping to better sort our inventory and make it easy for customers to find exactly what they're looking for, and for only $9 per month.
The app does what it's advertised to do and goes above and beyond, just as everyone working at OmegaCommerce has in my experiences with them thus far. Whether it's feature requests or help with simple or complex tasks, their team has always been supportive and responsive to my emails and resolved any issues in a timely and satisfactory manner.
Thus far, I give this app 5 stars and recommend it to any company in need of a high-functioning search system on their website, as Shopify's default search has never seemed to cut it, irregardless of what project I'm working on.
There are a lot of search apps out there, but Omega Instant Search is without a doubt the app you should be trying first.
