The app works great and customer service is super fast. They are always available when I have an issue and they solve it in no time! The app is awesome and makes it very easy to manage subscriptions. There are a few features missing here and there but I love that they are making updates to the app all the time and new features are available all the time so I'm sure they will be come up pretty soon

Installation is easy, since PayWhirl integrates with so many Shopify themes. In my case, I have a theme that required a wee bit of manual coding. Tech support from PayWhirl was super responsive about helping me install snippets, troubleshoot a theme conflict and optimize my store's performance in less than 30 minutes.

Ryan has been helping me so much setting up Paywhirl. There are limitations though with the app itself (which I'm sure Ryan knows about) that I hope can be improved on in the future.

I used this app to add layaway payment options for my customers. Ryan and Larry helped with installation. They were great! Professional, responsive and seemed like always on call when I needed assistance. After testing a few times it looks to be a simple flow. Only issue is with the monthly payments there’s shipping tax added ea monthly payment. Hoping they sort this out soon. As long as Ryan is behind the scenes I feel comfortable enough to stick it out and work around it. I’m certain they will resolve this issue.

Lacking in features vs other subscription apps and has bugs.
- Barely any reporting or analytics are available
- no support for customers to swap products
- You have to force customers to create an account before checkout (reduces checkout rate) so they can manage their subscription. No post-checkout account creation prompts.
- Subscriptions renew at a different time from when the customer signed up. Sometimes this can tick over to the next day (your customers will enquire about this)
- I've had subscriptions not being cancelled multiple times - leading to the customer being charged again.
- No upsell or cross-selling features or one-time purchase discounts with subscriptions
their shopify app is severely lacking compared to their external software which is unfortunate. The only positive that this app has is its integration with shopify checkout as opposed to redirecting.
