What a scam this is! We never used the app, and even uninstalled it, and are STILL being charged a hefty monthly fee every month with no way of cancellation. We are now in contact with Shopify Support to try to find a solution and a refund. What a hassle!
Thank you for sharing, and we're truly sorry for the confusion. This is actually a point many users find easy to misunderstand: your Shopify store's billing cycle and each app's own billing cycle are different. Every month, Shopify groups the invoices from all your apps onto the same day, so you may still see a charge from an app you've uninstalled if that app's cycle started before you removed it. This applies to most apps on the Shopify App Store, not just UpPromote. To cancel, you can either downgrade to the Free plan or uninstall the app. Please reach out to us at support@uppromote.com so we can help you resolve this completely.
