If you want a plug-and-play email template, they have it. However, there is zero “advanced” customisation. They offer about three variables you can use, and most of them are useless.

You can’t actually edit the review section of the email—only add text or random images (not the product images). You only get two layout options for the CTA/review input section; neither looks great and neither can be edited.

The major problem I have with this app is the review display on product pages, specifically the “click a star” pop-up. The pop-up that allows you to input a review has the post/next button hidden behind a scroll. People who don’t think to scroll may write a review and never see the button to actually post it. Obviously, this kills conversions.

The pop-up has excessive padding and oversized text boxes that could easily be reduced. There is plenty of room for the button to be visible on all devices, but instead users are required to scroll. I tried altering it myself using their CSS input; however, nothing worked. I asked the dev team, who said it’s impossible, even though I can clearly see the CSS in the source code. Either the dev team is incompetent or lazy.

In conclusion, if you’ve just set up a store and need a simple, free app, I’d recommend this. If you want advanced customisation and actually value review request conversions, I’d stay clear. Great for basic new stores; bad for advanced stores.

Though what I initially said was true, they have since reached out to me and resolved the bug. They acknowledged the issue and have now fixed it.

Regarding the emails, they have taken my feedback on board and updated the options for the review request email. You can now create the entire email in HTML, which is ideal for those who want advanced customisation and the ability to A/B test. They also provided a large list of useful variables that can be used within the email.

While these changes are significant, what truly sets this app and its team apart is their willingness to listen to users and implement improvements. This is refreshing, as many app developers are too arrogant to listen and make changes.
