EDIT (July 2019): Finally the Searchanise team have started thinking about variants. Still very buggy (e.g. has lost the ability to show the most relevant variant, treats single-variant products as multi-variant, new data-variant-sku attribute doesn't update properly, and some filters have broken as part of the update), and still doesn't link to the correct variant, but a step in the right direction.
Good relevance algorithm and speedy response but crucial variant information is missing from results. This means that customers might think e.g. a product only comes in one colour or the most expensive size. Searches for specific option values (e.g. 'Blue shoes') will return the correct image but won't link to the pictured variant, and there is not enough information returned in the code to amend the hrefs after the event (without calling the Shopify AJAX API for every returned result = waaaaay too slow).
I've had to introduce a handful of JS hacks for other things that *can* be fixed this way, but repeated requests from me for small but significant improvements have been ignored.
Don't get me wrong, for the money this is definitely worthwhile - much cheaper and easier than indexing your own inventory (especially large catalogues like ours), and obviously a hell of a lot better than Shopify's in-built system, just be prepared to spend a fair amount of time faffing with code to get it looking and acting as you want. And don't expect any help from these guys - they never reply to emails.
I'll up this to 5 stars if the developers cater for products with variants!

App is down and there is no immediate help or support. None of my collection pages are loading which I have ads going to.

This is the greatest search app on shopify. After service is also brillant, they help me eveything on implementation process even the small thing. If you need a smart search app that no need to do much thing in the backend. Please add it to your store.
We have had very good experiences with Searchanise. After installing the app, of course, we had to add some CSS to override the app styles and to get closer to the design, but all the rest was configurable in the app, and everything was very clear there.
App limitations are standard (e.g. the application is unable to display product-badges in search results).
To sum up, for search apps that are usually hard to work with, Searchanise was really good.
In addition, the app has great support, which responded quickly and willingly extended the trial period in the development store.

VERY BAD SERVICE, Dont use this app, They are not replying to our emails for many days, we asked for some changes to the filters in our store, They Messed up our website, we are asking them to fix the issues and no respond. NEVER NEVER INSTALL THIS APP.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that we made such an impression on you and it's breaking our hearts to see you disappointed with our support. It seems that there was some misunderstanding. We have only made the same changes that were made in the unpublished theme for the live one, as per your request. We also notified you about it both via email and in the chat, and provided an instruction for reverting the changes.
As for now, all the changes have been reverted and the collection pages are powered by the theme again. Please let us know if you still have any difficulties and we will do our best to fix everything.
It would also be great if you could let us know the ID numbers of the tickets you already have in your email, so we could check why we missed them and avoid this issue in the future.

App has broken on our live website, very slow response time via email. No live chat service. Very disappointed, as the app had been performing really well.
