What is Shipping Address Validator?

Customers often mistype shipping addresses and this leads to failed deliveries and ultimately, upset customers. Additionally, inaccurate shipping addresses may result in returned shipments and costly redelivery fees. Shipping Address Validator can help boost customer satisfaction by reducing the frequency of failed deliveries.

How does it work? Inconsistencies are rectified with:

  • Prompts that show suggested corrections
  • Alerts while customers input the shipping address
  • Emails to customers and/or merchants whenever an order goes through with an unverifiable address

Requirements

The prompts and warnings can be embedded into the checkout process only if you have Shopify Plus. Otherwise, they will appear on the thank you page after checkout.

FAQ

  • Does it work for all addresses? The app processes addresses in the following countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, South Africa, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States.
  • Which orders will this app process? Only orders in supported countries that have not yet been fulfilled will be processed.
  • What orders will I be charged for? You will be charged for all orders processed because we have to run queries for each address.
  • What happens when an address cannot be validated? The customer is notified via a prompt on the checkout flow. The store can also enable email alerts.
  • What is the cost? $0.04 per order after the first 100 orders. It's an additional $14.99/month if you want emails from your own domain.

We always lost countless hours correcting addresses and following up with customers to get any missing data. Since we installed the app I am happy to report that from all our orders in the last 2 weeks (about 400) only 1! still had an error. And this was because the customer refused the suggestion of the shipping address validator. We went from 20-30% faulty address to 0% address errors overnight! :) I can highly recommend this app for addresses in Belgium and the Netherlands. It is also a beautifull combination with iPacky and MyParcel to auto print the corrected shippinglabels automatically in the flow from your order picking without any errors.

Great app and great support. On high volume order it makes a difference to avoid wrong delivery or returned packages when possible thanks to this app.

Great app I love, it's super useful. it does help a lot and lowers the rate of wrong addresses. I've used it for a few months already.
