We've been using Automatic Discount + Gift to create a tiered wholesale discount program. Since Shopify doesn't support multiple automatic discounts through their dashboard we sought a solution. A little trouble with the installation as we needed a custom cart page. The developer worked on his day off to help us out. Very kind and very nicely developed app.

So, you want the 10% discount + a free gift, is that it? And right now only the 10% discount is working, is that right?

You want to offer a 10% discount on orders over $5000 and also offer them a free gift.
In order to achieve that you first have to go to Smart Deals section and create a 10% off whole order deal, set a minimum requirements purchase of $5000 on it. You also have on the same deal, the option to enable giving a gift product.
After you're done with the deal, go to the Automatic Promotions screen and create a new one. Select the deal you just created as the benefit.
If you're happy with the promotion you built, don't forget to turn it on!

Great app and great experience with customer service on resolving any issues I had along the way. Would recommend as it is also affordable compared to other apps.
Tabarnapp worked as advertised. Really fills in the gaps Shopify is missing. It’s easy to implement, we were up and running with our first use case within minutes, and we’ve had no issues since. Looking forward to implementing some of the more complex use cases when the need arises. If the price works for the economics of your business I would absolutely recommend Tabarnapp.
This app is extremely clever and useful for us. So far, we have mainly used the "Pre filled Cart" function, with which we can send our customers with a single call-to-action in the newsletter directly to the pre-filled shopping cart.
So far, the app has worked exactly how it's supposed to. This has made discounts much easier for my store and my clients. Thank you!

Very happy with this app so far. All seems to working great. Easy to install, setup and manage. I have not had to deal with support yet, so no idea how good that is but the fact that I didn't need them is good.
