very good, but does need a sanity check after each setup. Has a weird thing where it requires the use of paid for apps for some ai driven flows. I simply remove this but needs to be looked into.
Testing is uneasy. Also, can't select and copy the test data easily (data that appears in green in the test results)
It's about as good as other flowchart automation tools... not super clear but intuitive once you get the hang of it. I'd give more stars if Sidekick could do more work in the UI
This time It was a pain, I have made flows before but with the latest changes, it messed my work. And here it is why: I first went directly to the Flow app and after creating the WHOLE flow, I tried to link all my SEND EMAIL actions, and my templates were not showing, tried everything! and it wouldn't show them. I asked for help from Sidekick, and the instructions I followed to the dot and nothing. Sidekick was not able to help at all. Then I went to the new part GROWTH, and tried through AUTOMATIONS, it still took me to Flow, and I had to create the flow again, but to my surprise, this time my templates did show. SO in summary, it took me much more time to create a Flow this time, because the system is broken and the AI helper, couldnt help. I just turned on the flow and I hope it works as great as the others I have on my store. My two cents....
This tool doesn't hook into Messages app, so I'm not able to send branded messages from this. A little annoying, but created a segment instead.
It can be helpful but tends to crash / run very slow when things get difficult
It cannot do some simple tasks, like return a list of stock which meets more than one criteria
It often struggles to update a workflow, so after working on one for an hour or two, it cannot actually save it, session has to be refreshed and all progress is lost
It will sometimes say things can't be done, until you point out that it has already created something similar
Shopify Flow is an excellent automation tool, but it is missing native support for transactional emails. We can send marketing emails only to subscribed customers, but we cannot send service emails (such as shipping delay notifications) directly to customers from a workflow. Adding a native "Send transactional email" action with access to order variables would be a huge improvement.
Can be somewhat convoluted and confusing at first; once you get the hang of it, it can be extremely useful. Plus this app has only gotten better as the devs continue to add new values, actions, and conditions. I use it to add order tags, send internal emails, send customer emails, customer notifications (abandoned cart, abandoned browse), and various other operations that I wish to run in the background automatically. It takes a lot of manual work off my plate and keeps my physical workflow easy and simplified.
Es muy intuitiva y fácil de usar, si seria mejor que expliquen más las variables que se pueden utilizar, una pequeña guía.
Shopify Flow is incredibly powerful for automating store
workflows. The fraud risk capture rule works seamlessly
and saves a lot of manual effort. Highly recommended for
any serious Shopify merchant!
