Flow makes automations easy to set up once you understand the logic. It helped me create post-purchase emails that reward repeat customers without upgrading plans. Super powerful for retention.
I created this flow for cases when friends and family are picking up items and paying for them through Shopify. I would set the shipping line to contain the word PICK, and the order will be automatically fulfilled. This way, the shipping department won't ship the item that was already picked.
This app has to be one of the most helpful things on Shopify. It allows me to automate so many incredibly useful tasks and flag things that need further checking and I suspect I've barely scratched the surface of it's usefulness.
It is sometimes very difficult to find the correct trigger, action, and condition but with the help of Shopify Sidekick, I am able to get this done. Without Sidekick, this would take me forever. Thanks Ai!
The Flow is awesome for automation and saves so much repeated work! It would be even better if "Update" could be used as a trigger under certain conditions.
I am still learning the "tech" side and the workflow assistant was incredibly helpful and easy to follow. It worked out the kinks quickly and helped me navigate issues.
Stark improvements in the past year, it feels like it's headed in the right direction. It would be great if we could trigger flows with webhooks though.
Steep learning curve to get anything other than send email at set times or after simple triggers. Actually creating a flow that moves customers through states is daunting.
BUT - once you figure it out, it works like a charm.
Meine Erfahrung ist bisher leider nicht sehr gut. Ich habe viele tage an einem Flow gearbeitet nur um dann beim aktivieren die Meldung zu bekommen, dass der Flow nicht mehr als 91 Tage "wait" enthalten darf. Statt sowas vorher anzuzuzeigen oder zu blockieren steht es erst beim aktivieren da und ich muss nun aus einem Flow 6 Flows machen damit es mit der Wartezeit passt. Es handelt sich um ein Produkt welches nach 3 Monaten verbraucht ist und somit brauche ich auch nach 90 Tagen dann Mails die zum wiederkauf anregen.
Zudem merke ich, ist Flow noch ziemlich unausgereift. Ich würde mir wünschen, dass die "All-in-one" Plattform Shopify auch wirklich all in one wäre und ich nicht doch auf andere Tools zugreifen muss, denn ich bin kurz vor dem Wechsel zu Klaviyo.
Lack of support for Incoming Inventory or Purchase Orders is impactful, but very impressed with Sidekicks ability to create flow - and flow in general.
