Great app for designing pages with much more control than the default Shopify page builder. Coming from a background in WordPress, this app is similar to page builders such as Elementor. One note/item to be aware of: When using GemPages for your product pages, you may run into some issues with adding additional functionality to the product page. For example, we added a Klaviyo back in stock button to our code, but with the GemPages product layout, the "notify me" button does not appear in the correct place. Overall, a good app for designing additional pages on your website, but I would recommend using default shopify page design for products if you intend to add functionality to those pages. Fantastic customer service, too!

Initially, I needed a page building app that allowed for certain customizations and capabilities that enabled my client and I to test design solutions for product pages and content pages. I found GemPages and thought to give it a try as I've had experience working with in-app page builders for other platforms and I liked the offering.

Ive worked with GemPages for a few months from the initial kickoff to final launch (Roughly February - May). Full transparency, at first the system had some bugs that would show some inconsistencies and errors but after speaking with Chris and reporting the issues, he made sure to verify the issues and correct them as they were reported. He's been very friendly through the entire process and open to suggestions and feedback.

From a design perspective, I took some customization liberties for our page design that allowed for a modern but light design execution and the inapp widgets allowed me to build the design how we imagined.

All in all, after working through the initial learning curve of a new visual builder and making sure any potential bugs on my page are resolved prior to launch (things are good now), GemPages has become an app I trust for future page implementations.

I look forward to seeing the next phase of GemPages and what Chris' team has to offer - this is definitely an app worth giving a try to build and test.

My experience is Gem Pages technical support staff are eager to help answer and resolve any questions, problems or issues in the development of your website using the application. They are fairly quick in responding to your query. Great support!

Excellent customer service when you can reach them (time difference). They showed me how to fix things and made videos so I could learn myself. They also edited code for me to change some things as well. Takes some time and effort to play around with it to see how it looks (lots of tweaking etc) but once you get the hang of it it goes smoothly!

Gempages has been a huge help during the development of our webshop. All the basic things you need to style a webshop are in the app. And if you need specialised elements, you can always use the liquid elements and write your own code. The support is great. The are super friendly and always answer you questions. The only minor issue I've had was that because of the time difference (I'm working in Europe) it sometimes took a while before I received an answer.

Very user-friendly and offers lots of functional elements to customise pages with; fairly basic but gets the job done. Ran into a problem with a module suddenly being 'too large' to publish and having to completely rebuild a page to solve it, bit of a pain. But any issues that have come up in the year or so we've been using it staff have been very quick to respond to, either offering solutions or fixing the problem themselves. Would recommend to anyone with no coding skills wanting an easy, no frills page builder and reliable support.

A great way to customize and brand a Shopify store. Support is pretty good, but you have to work with them for more complicated issues. I've generally had my issues resolved, but sometimes it can take a back and forth before they understand. Has a lot of features, but wish it had a few more, like Library blocks that were all linked so you could change the same thing without having to edit multiple pages.

Update: James is a hero. Always helps fix code problems promptly.

A great app that makes building custom pages easier. I'll give it 5 stars but I'll have to settle with 4 stars for now till the redundant features are fixed.

You have to make edits to all 4 versions (mobile, desktop, laptop and tablet). There's no way to implement changes on one and apply to all automatically. This makes it a very tedious process.
