I only have good things to say about this app and their customer service. Always speedy and helps us even outside of their scope. Their app does what it is supposed to do and beyond. It locks the public view out of the wholesale pricing and information.
The app is fantastic - it has removed the need for complex custom coding, and replaced it with a simple, intuitive easy to use app that can lock down our site exactly how we need it. Not only that, but the customer support team are incredible, nothing is ever an issue, the responses are prompt and informative. Highly recommend this app!

Locksmith provides an elegant solution to make parts of your store more private and/or secure. It's technically sound, and the team provides rapid attention when needs or issues arise. It works if your needs are simple or if you have complicated things you want to lock up. I've worked in enterprise systems for a long time and am quite impressed by this tool.

Hello! I'm sorry this was such a frustrating experience, and thank you for letting us know how it went.
On support: we do our best to reply to every merchant within 24 hours, and often much sooner. In this case a teammate replied about five hours after you first wrote in, and confirmed that Locksmith had been fully removed and was no longer having any effect on your store. I'm sorry that still felt like a long wait — with a live storefront and a page you can't unlock, five hours is five hours, and I understand the frustration.
For anyone reading this who finds a page still locked after removing Locksmith: Locksmith does have its own code removal process, but once it's deleted from your apps list it no longer has permission to access your theme, which prevents it from removing its own code. To clear everything out, reinstall Locksmith, run the uninstall process from the app's "Help" page (or disable the app from its settings page), and then remove it from your apps list. One more thing worth knowing: your browser saves copies of pages it has already loaded so they open faster next time. If it saved a copy of a page while that page was locked, it can keep showing you the locked version even after the lock is gone. A private browsing window ignores those saved copies, so it shows you what your storefront actually looks like right now — clearing your browser cache does the same thing: https://www.locksmith.guide/tutorials/more/how-to-use-a-private-browsing-session

love this app - opened up a whole new avenue of business for us! We needed a place to sell products we couldn't post publicly due to medical restrictions
Great for two reasons:
1) The app works and is very easy to implement. Does exactly what is needed.
2) The "pay what feels good" pricing method is great and they are actually open to reasonable pricing suggestions. We suggested another price, still reasonable, with our explanation why we felt it was fair. Very quickly, we could come to an agreement about a monthly price that suits both sides.
Would recommend this app. Great app, great support.
DO NOT USE. We tested this app with a select group of VIP Pros for two months but ultimately decided against it due to the steep pricing structure. After canceling our subscription, our website immediately experienced significant issues. It took our IT team three full days attempting to remove all the leftover CSS. Eventually, the damage was so extensive that we had no choice but to duplicate our theme entirely.

Locksmith does have a code removal process. However, after Locksmith is removed from the apps list, it no longer has permission to access your theme, which prevents it from removing its own code.
For anyone reading this who finds themselves in this situation: to remove all of Locksmith's code from your theme, reinstall Locksmith and then run the uninstall process from the Locksmith app’s “Help” page, or disable the app from the app’s settings page. Locksmith is exactly what we needed for our wholesale store. They have recently added functions that are even more helpful, so I appreciate them always working to offer the best options. We get a lot from the low cost it is given at.The customer service is excellent, and a shout out to Erica for always giving me clear information on what she is doing and instructions for what I need to do.
