Merchants appreciate this app for its consistent quality, flexibility, and user-friendly interface. They value the in-house printing, options for sleeve prints, private label branding, and branded packaging. The seamless integration with Shopify and responsive customer service are also praised. The design tools are easy to use and the product catalog is extensive. However, some merchants are concerned about the pricing affecting their profit margins. Despite this, it's seen as a valuable tool for small businesses, offering a comprehensive solution for product creation, customization, and fulfillment.

seriously Printful... disabling the option to add products with slow fulfillment. That's how you lose businesses just saying.
Hi, thank you for your review!
We have temporarily disabled products with the longest production times in the product push. This means that new products can't be created using these products, but existing products will still be fulfilled when ordered. This is a temporary decision and we expect it to help us catch up with the current order volume and return to our normal fulfillment times sooner.
We recommend following our Covid-19 updates page for the latest updates in fulfillment times and related things: https://www.printful.com/covid-19.
Hopefully, the situation normalizes soon and we can continue providing fast services to our users!
If there's anything we can help with or if you have any concerns, be sure to let us know at feedback@printful.com!

CANADIAN STORE OWNERS BEWARE.
I have operated an online merchandising company since 2008. Our model has been to produce inventory, store it, and ship it out when it sells. Typical retail, nothing new.
We were introduced to Shopify and Printful in late October 2017. It looked like a game-changer - print on demand, no need to handle our own inventory, shipping provided, etc. This method was appealing because it would reduce our financial risk by eliminating the need for inventory, and reduce costs by eliminating the need to handle our our packaging/shipping.
We didn't want to use the service without experiencing it for ourself first, so we placed some sample orders. It was amazing! Products were created and shipped within days of our order. They arrived swiftly. We loved it, and were confident enough that we turned our old store 'off' and turned Shopify and Printful 'on'.
What a mess. Customers placed orders and we quickly learned that the wholesale costs that we were seeing in Printful were USD, not CAD (our store Settings are CAD and we paid the on-screen price for our test orders, not the inflated exchange price). The per-item shipping cost killed us. WE paid out of pocket for our first round of customer orders - deactivated Printful immediately - thank goodness that we can afford to eat the cost. Others might not be so lucky.
We thought the bad dream was over, but then it turned into a nightmare. The quick production/shipping that we experienced? No so for our customers. We had a customer place an order on November 17 and it JUST shipped on December 1, for delivery on December 19. It's 2017 and that's unacceptable, so we just gave the customer a full credit for the cost of their order ($180).
There is no Canadian equivalent of Printful, so we've gone back to producing our goods, holding inventory, and managing shipping ourselves. We're going to stick with Shopify because it means that we don't need to be hands-on with our backend web development anymore.
2 stars because Printful is an amazing service but it just doesn't work in the Canadian retail environment.
When leaving a review, a message appears that says "If you had a bad experience, please try contacting the app developer at support@printful.com before posting a negative review". We could, but realistically there isn't anything that Printful can do except send us cash for the amount that we're out of pocket, and the probability of that is low.
Ran about 4 samples different quality of shirts/ inconsistent with colors. Even had them redo my design. Black looks faded on white shirt. The labeling & packaging are good. It's alot of incentives to leave a good review stay woke people.
Hi, thank you for your review! I'm sorry to hear that there has been some inconsistency with colors! There is no white underbase (a layer of white ink applied before the actual colored ink is printed) used for white garments, therefore, the outcome may appear differently when compared with colored/dark shirts. It is possible that the color of the garment might slightly affect the result of the print, but we would definitely like to check closer with this.
We will follow-up with you via email to gain more details about your experience with the products and the print quality!

I havent rated the app all the way. So far its pretty good about integrating products, havent had an order yet to see what the customer thinks about it. When all this happens I will give my rating then.
Thank you for your review, we appreciate your feedback!

Product quality is ok. I hope you never have to get in touch with anyone at Printful as they don't answer email or give you any updates. I currently have an order still showing being fulfilled that was placed 14 days ago. NO UPDATES, NO EMAIL, NO REPLY to my email asking what's going on. Customer service is a joke at best. Guess which app I'll be deleting and replacing today?
used to loved the app,
but now they added 10$ for worldwide shipping.
So - one t-shirt costs like 12$, which make it 22$ for every person that is not from USA/EUROPE/CANADA.
i used to sell shirts at 20$. now i have to change ALL OF MY PRODUCTS PRICES
10$ shipping worldwide is a lot for a t-shirt. A LOT
i lost money because of that.
have never received a mail or a phone call about it.
but what can i do? all of my products are based on Printful.
Hi, thank you for your review! Thank you for your feedback and input on the recent shipping changes, we definitely appreciate it! We want to decrease the number of lost shipments and provide transparency regarding shipping costs. The shipping costs provided by our carriers were higher than what we charged our users, we weren't profiting off of shipping costs. These changes are part of our strategy of making shipping costs more transparent and easier to understand for our users. The No Rush and Economy shipping methods (which are now discontinued) often were assigned a carrier service that didn't provide full tracking information and packages were more likely to get lost during transit and we recognize that this is not a pleasant situation when this does happen. Now our customers will be able to track their package until it reaches its destination. Working with fewer services also means that we provide them with more shipments and can negotiate better deals in the future to bring the prices lower. Additionally, the majority of our flat rates are now cheaper than previously, but some costs may be higher than what you were used to.
We notified all of our users about the shipping changes via email, we recommend checking your spam/promotions folder in your inbox to see if our message may be located there.
If you have any questions about the changes or additional feedback, be sure to let us know at feedback@printful.com. We certainly appreciate your feedback on any updates we make.

I gave this app two months...
THE GOOD: The products themselves are indeed well built and customer service was very good.
THE BAD: The two hurdles that made this product unfit for my store are the pricing and the configuration. The pricing is incredibly high and put me in a position of either charging such a high price sales suffered greatly or sell product nearly at cost. The configuration is tricky even with a vanilla environment, and positively maddening when using other apps that access product variants like customer pricing. At one point I had nearly 60 skus for one shirt when all variants and custom pricing discount variants were factored in. Arranging the relationship between synched and un-synced items made my head spin and with each and every detail being so important, it was frustrating to work so hard to get it right and still find errors due to the complexity of the process.
THE VERDICT: If this print on demand concept were ever made intuitive to install and profitable it would be a Godsend. As it is, it is perhaps only suited for clientele that feel nearly $30 is a fair price for an Anvil shirt. The app is not bad per se, but think carefully if you think it is easy to use or an easy source of revenue.
It's been one month exactly since I placed my sample order. And the tracker says it's not even in my country yet, so it seems to work only inside the US. Definitely can't offer anything from Printful to my customers. Hope at least to get the stuff I paid for. The support is silent.
We spent so much time to create the products, so it's a total disappointment.
UPDATE:
The developer refunded my order, thanks a lot for that. However, failed international shipping (prepaid!) is a big issue, and I had to cancel several customers orders, because of that. I didn't get the order at all. I wouldn't recommend using this app for international shipping. Even orders from China were never a problem like that.
This app is easy to install and it is easy to create new products. The problem: When people ORDER. I had a client order a t-shirt (a t-shirt!!) in early May. After several weeks, I wrote to them. They blamed Covid-19 for the delay and said it would be a month (for a t-shirt...'cause they first have to do research and INVENT the t-shirt). THEN, they said THAT type of mystical t-shirt was out of stock. TWO choices: cancel order or change the order. I changed the order. Now, one month since the original order, I was told that I am looking at late JUNE for the order to be fulfilled.
The customer service was prompt (I will grant them that) but a bit condescending. In all, this has been VERY disappointing. I am ACTIVELY exploring other options.
Hi there, thank you for your review, we appreciate hearing from you! I’m sorry to hear that your experience with us hasn’t been the most positive so far, but I hope we can improve it moving forward!
Due to the situation with Covid-19, we are still encountering fulfillment delays and for DTG printed items, the current fulfillment timeframe estimate is 23-28 business days in the USA. We are seeing these delays due to the various state restrictions and an increased order volume, which we were not expecting at this time. We are hiring more production staff and up-scaling our printing tech, to help us fulfill orders faster, while keeping the health of our employees at our facilities in mind. Fulfillment delay is expected for the time being, but I hope we can catch up soon!
I am sorry to hear that the order also encountered an out of stock item, I definitely understand how this can make the situation more unpleasant. We do notify our users as timely as we can in case there is an issue with the stock for an item, but rarely, we may not receive information about the stock of the items being as early as we’d like, but we would still notify you timely.
When you are making changes to an order, the order’s estimated fulfillment timeframe will reset, which means that the order will be pushed back to the end of the queue at that moment.
I can definitely understand how these events can add up to an unpleasant experience for you and we sincerely apologize for this. We understand that timely fulfillment is important for our users and all of our teams are working hard to fulfill orders as quickly as they can.
I will follow up with you via email as well and we’ll work on fulfilling your order as soon as possible!

This is extremely frustrating for me. The price is confusing, the shipping info very complex, and the price isn't very affordable.
