Overall, I like the app, but the review system is far too restrictive and complicated.
I have run into several issues:
* When customers verify their email through the QR code or review request, they are taken to a ChargeMe account page where it looks like they already have an account. This is very confusing for customers. They only wanted to leave a review, not create or log into another platform.
* Merchants have almost no control over reviews. Even small changes, such as anonymizing a customer’s name (changing a full surname to an initial), cannot be done by the merchant. The customer has to do everything themselves.
* The review edit links are unreliable. When I tried to send one to a customer, it never arrived.
* Overall, merchants cannot make even basic adjustments. Everything is locked down to such an extent that it no longer improves security—it just makes simple tasks slow and frustrating for both merchants and customers.
I think the platform is overprotected. There should be more flexibility for store owners to manage reviews and help customers without forcing them through unnecessary steps. Right now, the process is much more complicated than it needs to be.
Thank you for taking the time to leave such detailed feedback.
We genuinely appreciate the balanced review and are glad to hear that, overall, you've been enjoying the app.
We also understand the concerns you raised around the review confirmation flow, merchant controls, and the overall review management experience. Since your review, we've been in touch via email to discuss these points in more detail. Your suggestions regarding the reviewer profile page after email confirmation and giving merchants more flexibility for legitimate review management cases have already been shared with our Product team for consideration.
We're also still keen to investigate the issue you mentioned with the review edit email not being delivered, as that isn't the experience we want anyone to have. If you have a chance to reply to our email with an example, we'll be happy to look into it for you.
Thank you again for your thoughtful feedback. Conversations like this genuinely help us improve Judge.me, and we hope we'll have the opportunity to make your experience even better over time.
