1-Star Review — Extremely Disappointed with CJ Dropshipping
As a small business owner just getting started, I really wanted CJ Dropshipping to be a reliable partner, but unfortunately, my experience has been extremely disappointing.
Shipping times are far too slow. If the current shipping time is considered an improvement from what it used to be, that is honestly concerning. Slow shipping can seriously hurt a small business, especially when customers expect reasonable delivery times.
The U.S. warehouse option for clothing is also misleading. Products may show an option to ship from a U.S. warehouse when you're listing them, but the U.S. warehouse does not necessarily carry the same product. This makes the option feel almost useless when you're trying to provide customers with faster shipping.
Even ordering samples has been unnecessarily slow. As a new business owner, I need to be able to test products, inspect quality, create content, and make informed decisions without waiting an unreasonable amount of time.
The biggest issue is that a dropshipping supplier is supposed to help a small business grow—not create additional obstacles that can damage the customer experience and the business's reputation. Long shipping times, limited U.S. inventory, and slow sample delivery can be especially damaging to a business that is just starting out.
Because of this experience, I will be looking for another dropshipping service. I cannot build my business around a supplier that cannot consistently support the shipping and product needs of my customers.
I would strongly encourage other small business owners to do their research and carefully test CJ Dropshipping before committing to them. What may seem like a convenient option initially can become a serious problem once you're trying to actually run and grow your business.
Small businesses cannot afford to have their reputation damaged by unreliable fulfillment.
