Shipbob has been able to offer great solutions to our needs from a 3PL. We were nervous about the change but now we don't look back!
Installation of the App was extremely easy and we had someone help us onboard who was there whenever we needed, so it made the process far from intimidating. When it comes to speed and reliability of order ingestion, the process is fairly straight forward and easy. If you have inventory ready, the process is seamless. I would say the only hiccup is with Amazon FBA orders but Shipbob is always willing to help. Overall when it comes to tracking upload speed, communication of order progress, and speed ShipBob has been a great partner. As with any 3PL there will always be some issues, it's the nature of the business, but it's good to know that we can rely on ShipBob's technical support team to get things figured out.

ShipBob is thorough with communication and great at assisting you in the setup process. It is easy to get set up and begin shipping! The merchant success specialists I have worked with have been great at answering questions and finding resolutions. There are some aspects we are not fond of, the costs of WROs and the precision required when sending supplies (we order from supply stores and have it sent directly there, so affixing labels is not always possible); they do not seem to work well with USPS (we have had 1 or 2 days in the last year where all of our orders from a specific day were labeled but never moved or it took a week or more for them to). All in all positive experience, I do recommend inquiring about fulfillment times if you are guaranteeing same-day shipping, etc.

I would love to unpack the USPS issue with you - we have a great relationship and custom contract with the postal service and purchase millions of labels per year. I don't know what this specific issue is, but I'm sure it's not a systemic thing. Overall ShipBob has been a good experience. My merchant success specialist has been a really big help. I do wish the app/website was more mobile friendly. It's very hard to navigate and many of the features are next to impossible to do when not on a computer. I work 90% from my phone so it's a struggle. The shopify integration is pretty solid. I do notice quite a bit of delay sometimes with tracking crossing over from shipbob to shopify. Sometimes it never crosses over at all so I have to add it manually but it's pretty rare. No problems with order syncing, it's fast and accurate. Overall I would recommend!
Thanks for your feedback on the mobile site. It's true - some pages are not meant to view on a mobile device. To be honest, it's intentional! Some of the info is so dense, we don't think a mobile experience would do it justice. However -- the Order Details page should be fully mobile-compliant, so perhaps bookmarking that would be helpful.
Regarding the delay - this really does surprise me. Our tracking sync with Shopify is almost instantaneous - but it occurs when the package leaves our facility and goes into the carriers' hands, NOT when the tracking number is created. That's a big difference - sometimes can be a day depending on when the order is packed. This is again intentional - because we dont want you having a ton of blank tracking numbers causing WISMO (where is my order) questions. But -- if you email me at partnerships@shipbob.com with a few examples, I can troubleshoot for you.

We have worked with various 3PLs but have had the best experience with Shipbob. We love working with our account manager Samantha Diapolo, we always receive excellent communication especially during an emergency situation.
I give this 4 stars because we are still working through some tech issues but will be happy to update once this is all resolved.
Great integration overall! I needed some assistance from support with both ShipBob and Shopify in order to get everything working, but I was also a bit of an edge use case in my needs. Once set up, it's been a breeze to use overall.
App works fine, but the customer service and pricing is TERRIBLE.
We would CONSTANTLY be charged many times more because Shipbob insisted on sending our products in boxes that were much larger than our products. We're talking about nearly a $100 difference because they didn't want to use a smaller box to ship (which they have).
We are a small business, so seeing a shipping cost of $140 for something that should cost $30-$40 is terrible. Moreover, having to go back and forth with customer service to fix this issue causes delays and makes our customers extremely unhappy. This is not the first time and after customer service was contacted, they would apologize, issue a partial refund, and repeat the mistake. If any higher-ups see this, I will be happy to provide proof of correspondence so things can be changed.
Be very, very careful if you are thinking of using Shipbob services.

I was contacted by Shipbob's VP or Partnerships and Director of Onboarding services soon after posting this review. They were sincere with their apology about my experience so far and it showed that they took this matter seriously. It doesn't make up for everything that transpired, but I will add two stars for trying to make things right and bringing immediate attention to my case.
Hey VITL Backpacks team -- I want to jump in on this and see if we can fix this issue. Looking at this review, this is so far from the normal experience our merchants have (in fact most of them say we save them money on packaging due to our algorithms that optimize packaging size). I suspect there is something wonky going on with Dimensional Weight perhaps. Either way - need to figure this out. Using the this app has made it very easy for us to manage our fulfilment across a number of countries and not just in North Americas so it has saved a lot of time.
It was very easy to install as wasn't a private app and already in app store and the pulling down of orders can be set around the time frames we want which has been very import for when customer realise they have used old address or just typed it incorrectly.
The tracking is also passed back into Shopify from Shipbob as soon as delivery in transit which is sent on to our customer so saves us time again and our customers know what is happening with their delivery.
Technical support is also very quick to update us on courier issues as well as setting up import rules and tags when we see fraudulent orders...again this has saved us time and money on orders going bad.
Highly recommend the app and the company. :-)

I've now been using ShipBob for a few months and overall the orders have been fulfilled accurately and on time. Like any new integration for something as complex as 3PL, there have been a few challenges - but I felt like I had plenty of support from Ankit and the team and everything was always resolved promptly, politely, and professionally. I think anyone working with a 3PL should just ensure they are doing what they can to minimize errors (e.g., send accurate receiving orders, have clearly labeled products, use barcodes, have clear product images to help with order picking, etc). That way it helps to make the overall process more efficient and reduce the likelihood for issues. I'm looking forward to continuing to scale with ShipBob!
Really impressed with the both the app and the shipbob team. Switching 3PLs always feels risky, but incredibly glad we did. A few of the highlights
- Multiple warehouse spread across the country
- Ability to send inventory to a single warehouse and have it be automatically distributed
- Our fulfillment costs are about $2-3 less per order now
- Really high fulfillment accuracy. Previous 3PL had an error rate of about 0.5% and Shipbob it at least 10x less.
- Great software. Really easy to create digital bundles, add products together
- Inventory analytics and visibility through the software to forecast how long supply is remaining.
- Auto-shipping speed upgrades if a warehouse gets overwhelmed and they miss their SLA. This is really nice b/c it gives our customer service team some peace of mind if order get shipped out a day late.
- Easy to get reimbursements for lost product or packages.
- Good EDI integrations if you do B2B or wholesale
RUN! RUN AS FAST AS YOU CAN! I really do feel bad for you if you have already signed a contract with shipbob, this is the worst fulfillment center you will ever find. Hopefully you can find a way out before it's too late. I will say the company was not always this bad. 2 years ago Shipbob was smaller and they actually did a ton to care for their customers and they took pride in doing good work. Come to present day and they have been sitting on a container of our product for 6 days now and still haven't even stored it let alone shipped. We are literally begging for an update and all they do is send us links to their SLA. We get it, however, our agent promised us this was priority and turns out that was NOT the case. I guess this is what happens when you put profits over customer experience. Plus, its not just us look at all of the most recent reviews. To make matter worse their shipping rates are extremely expensive and they constantly lose product. NO JOKE, this year they lost an entire skew of ours and we had to tell our most important customer than none of his 17 clubs would get the product. He was blown away that a center could be so careless and he laughed at us when we said we used shipbob. He called them the " NIGHTMARE OF FULFILLMENT CENTERS" lol In closing I am writing this to all of the entrepreneurs out there considering shipbob as a partner. You have worked your butt off to get where you are, poured your heart into your brand, don't make the mistake of going with a company that will destroy your brand image. Go find a partner that will help your hard work pay off.
Hi Terra-Core team -- Thank you for the feedback, and I'm sorry this has been a frustrating experience. I did some investigation and found that the main reason for the extra 48 hour SLA policy is that you are sending Floor Loaded Containers, which take a bit more time and a lot more labor to unpack. If you were to send palletized containers, there would be no additional time required to unpack.
I know your products are large, so that may not be an option, but I'm sure there are ways to mitigate the impact of this. I've already pulled in Chetan, your dedicated account manager, to help figure out if we can accelerate any of the SLAs as a gesture of good faith.
