After I installed this and connected to my mailchimp account, I sent a campaign mail which saw drastically lower open rates. Since I am a free member of mailchimp, I cannot consult them on what could be the reason. My campaign test email is not showing up on my own email inbox (tried several times with two addresses), then when I sent the campaign email, emails which used to drop inboxes are dropping to spam or social. My open rate is now about one fifth of previous campaigns for no obvious reason other than having started using shopsynch.
Re your reply, I am aware how your app is supposed to function, just -not having done anything differently or putting in content that could cause a flag- having installed the app is all I have on the table. By the way, who says you can share my audience size in your reply?
Hi there, we saw your review and wanted to reply to your comments since you're not able to connect with Mailchimp. Our app facilitates the sync to Mailchimp and sends customer/order data information from your Shopify store to them. We do not have any impact on Campaigns or Automations that you send from their app.
While we are not affiliated with Mailchimp, we can see data via their API that your last campaign (sent on 8/5/20) had a successful delivery rate of 99.6%. Out of the 486 people that were sent an email, around 480 "received" it so far.
Unfortunately, we unable to verify the number emails that landed in spam or why users didn't open your email from this API call. If for some reason an increased number went to spam, it would be due to factors well beyond our control. For example, the content on your email could've been flagged by the inbox provider.
The deliverability rates, opens, clicks, and conversions (from Mailchimp emails) are independent of anything ShopSync does as part of its functionality.

This works but the Merge fields aren't showing for me and when a customer signs up to our newsletter it takes about 5-10 minutes to send to Mailchimp and sometimes doesn't send at all even though in their knowledge base it says real time sync.
Only using the app because the Mailchimp platform is so great.
Hi there, thank you for the feedback. We saw your review and wanted to drop a note on the syncing times. We rely on Shopify to send us webhooks for any kind of update on customers, products, and orders. Depending on the volume on Shopify's infrastructure at that specific point in time, webhooks may have been delayed. Normally, transfer times are close to real-time to Mailchimp.
Ultimately, data is not lost if there is a backlog of information to process, it just may take a few minutes to go through if the queues are backed up. We'll update our documentation to reflect this possibility, thanks again for the feedback.
Pretty cruisy. no issues. Very much Looking forward to exploring a bit more, but so far no issues at all. Thanks!
