Great app. Thank you. Even if Google translates no so good, but it still very usefull. If somebody wants a better translation - hire a content manager.

Updated review. We are happy so far. Service was great and comprehensive. App still a bit basic and things are not automated so you have to manually translate every change you do to the main language. Also no bulk translation for a term across all site as well as other teething UI issues but I’m sure they will sort them out with time. So we can warmly recommend especially since it is a free solution at this point. Will gladly add another star as the app evolves. Keep up the good work. This was so needed.

I think the result of auto-translation is quite acceptable. But not having the option to select multiple or all products to translate at once is painful, especially when you have 100+ products to translate into more than 1 languages..
And also not sure what happens when a product description or any content is updated?

Hi there, thanks for trying out the app. Stores can be translated entirely in one go, and unedited auto-translations will update if the default content is updated.

Impossible to translate policies, and no way of knowing why... Where can I get help with this?

Thank you for the feedback. Legal policies can be manually translated in Translate & Adapt. If you currently don't have any policy it will not appear in the app because there is nothing to translate. If you do have even one policy all the policies will appear in Translate & Adapt.

We do not auto translate policies because they are a legal document and auto translating it might create legal issues. This is one area where we recommend to translate with a professional who can cater the translation and policy to the market and type of products you sell.

Funktioniert -soweit ich das erkenne- gut für alles, was direkt zum Shopify Theme gehört. ABER: Wie bekomme ich TEXTE IN APPS oder meinen FILTER auf der Shopseite übersetzt??? Erscheint bei mir (Dawn Theme) nicht in der Localization. Eigentlich wollte ich dafür zwei Sterne abziehen, aber da gratis nur -1 Stern. Für jeden Hinweis bin ich dankbar!!

Hi there, thanks for trying out the app and your feedback. Some answers to your questions: 1) Text in apps that don't save to the theme or metafields aren't visible to Translate & Adapt - as the app can only translate content saved to Shopify. To translate apps that save content externally, you will need to translate in the front end. One example is Langify, which has a feature called 'Custom content translations' - where you can add extra translations for the content that doesn't use the Translations API or is not in the theme. It will mean an additional app subscription. You can run Langify and Translate & Adapt together. Langshop also does this with its 'Dynamic text' feature, as does 'Translate My Store' by Hextom. A recommended alternative is to see if there is an app that has the functionality you need but works with the theme, or saves to metafields. 2) Filters will be visibly translated very soon - you won't need to do anything, as they make use of 'Product Option' translations. We have moved from Weglot to this new app from Shopify and we are very happy! I wish it had more automatic translation, but for a free app it's already amazing like this. Simple to use and it just works without compromising other functionalities of our website. Thanks!

With Unknown reason, every time we log out some translations will be lost, we have to constantly reset the translations ..

Die App ist im Grunde sehr brauchbar. Ich habe meinen ganzen Shop in 6 Sprachen umgebaut und bin dabei auf folgende Probleme gestoßen: - Mangelnde Übersicht:
Abgesehen von großen Scrolllisten bzw. unzähligen Seiten, die die jeweiligen Übersetzungsfelder ausgeben, ist die Zuordnung ein großes Problem. Man weiß nicht, wo das zu übersetzende Feld auf einer Seite in diesen Listen hinterlegt ist. Das ist besonders im Checkout-Bereich schwer zu ordnen. Hier wäre eine besonderer "Suchmodus" im Editierbereich des Themes gut: Man klick auf den Button, um den Modus zu starten. Danach klickt man auf ein Textfeld der aktuell aufgerufenen Seite und es öffnet sich ein Fenster mit der Übersetzungsfunktion zu genau dem Text. - Es fehlt eine Favouriten-Funktion
Am einfachsten wäre es, wenn man alle Übersetzungfelder, die man bearbeitet hat, als Favouriten markieren kann, um diese bei Bedarf schnell und übersichtlich aufrufen zu können. Kleines klickbares Sternchen hinter jedes Übersetzungsfeld, Hinterlegung auf Filter "Favourit", ausgabe in Favouriten-Fenster = wäre super Hier noch einmal in Englisch: The app is basically very usable. I translated my entire shop into 6 languages and encountered the following problems: - Lack of overview:
Apart from large scroll lists or countless pages displaying the respective translation fields, the allocation is a big problem. One does not know where the field to be translated is stored in these lists. This is particularly difficult to sort out in the checkout area. A special "search mode" in the editing area of the theme would be good: click on the button to start the mode. Then you click on a text field of the currently opened page and a window opens with the translation function for exactly that text. - A favourite function is missing
It would be easiest if you could mark all the translation fields you have worked on as favourites so that you can call them up quickly and clearly when you need them. A small clickable symbol behind each translation field, a "Favourite" filter, output in the Favourites window = would be great.

Endlich kann Shopify wirklich mehrere Sprachen! So lange sehnlichst erwartet. Wir sind sehr froh, dass wir nun im Shopify System selbst die Übersetzungen pflegen können. Trotzdem gibt es noch einiges zu verbessern: - Wäre cool, wenn zum Beispiel &- Zeichen als solche übersetzt würden. - Und auch, wenn die Codes für Google Merchants einfach übernommen würden. Derzeit werden sie automatisch übersetzt und müssen deshalb alle manuell bearbeitet werden. - Eine Erinnerung, dass die Übersetzung noch anzupassen ist, wäre auch super. Dann würden nicht so viele Fehler passieren. - Ein Bulk-Bearbeitungstool für bestimmte Felder ganzer Produktgruppen würde Prozesse verschnellern.
