I was stymied for months by the limited reporting and data export available through Shopify. Analyzing refunds, comparing time periods, trying to determine book revenue vs. cash receipts, state tax calcs, were all frustrating if not impossible with the limited tools and views provided.
I found xporter, and now I feel like I have an entire data team behind me. At first the level of detail was overwhelming on the self serve report writing, but the customer service in the first few weeks was astounding. They put the time in to help you define what you need, and then create draft reports very quickly until it is perfect for you. Not only will they create calculations that you would normally have to do yourself in excel (i.e., estimating SKU-level sales tax on a refund), but they’ll actually rearrange the order of the columns in the report if it helps you. They put the time in because they know once you get the exact, clean, understandable data that you really need, you will continuously be pulling their reports (which, btw, is absolutely right). I am pulling the reports they wrote for me 2-3x a week and I’m not bothering them much because they gave me everything I need. This is much more than an app.
I am planning on hitting them up again for another report, but at this point I’m not just desperately trying to understand the historical Shopify data…I now get to focus on how to improve my business. I am not sure how I would have done what I can do now without Xporter. A total gem if you are working with Shopify.
Their in house wizards are great for personalising the service for your needs! Without this service we were wasting hours every week, now everything is done for us.
Exporter helps us manage our data in ways that expedite our fulfillment. It allows us to better serve our customers and saves time internally as well.

I use this for 10+ clients. It is flexible enough to fit all of my and their needs. Support is also very helpful in creating the desired file no matter the complexity.
The support team of Xporter provides excellent customer service. I was very pleased with their live chat support! They made the change to the settings during the live chat, and everything works perfectly! The tool has a lot of features that would make file transfer and report generations processes are much more simple for your company. I would definitely recommend this application just because of its customer service support and responsiveness to users needs. 5 stars!
This is one of the best reporting softwares available on Shopify App Store.
The team (Adam Harrison in particular) helped in clearly setting up the report that we wanted and he helped customize the report in less than a few days and I am sure I could not have got a better report even using the available tools in Shopify Reports section.
The app is really helpful for Tax reporting and I really appreciate the team to have one of the best set of people to help customers navigate the reporting and for helping us setup so quickly.
