After doing a backup, certain in-text images did not get restored. Contacted support, although they were nice, could not fix the issue and said that Rewind Backups does not include these images. I had to manually fix many, many product pages and put these images back.
Then, a few weeks later these images were again removed, without doing a backup. Again, this is costing us many hours of manual work to restore these images.
We had a paid subscription and expected better performance.
If you are looking for an app that restores ALL aspects of your site, including all images, then don't use this app.

To clarify, Rewind backs up and restores the exact HTML of your product descriptions, along with images that are properly attached to Shopify resources like products, variants, and collections. In your case, some of the images were added as standalone media via hard-coded URLs, which unfortunately means they weren’t linked to Shopify objects and couldn’t be included in the backup.
The best way to ensure full image coverage is to upload them using Shopify’s image picker. That way, the images are “attached” and Rewind can capture and restore them automatically.

Eine 1-Stern-Bewertung wäre verständlicher, wenn wir versucht hätten, die Preiserhöhung heimlich durchzuführen – aber wir respektieren deine Entscheidung. App did not backup and restore Variant data and metafields. The AI Chat and help files inform of API limitations, but other Apps can do it. Look elsewhere and save yourself the pain of data loss.
We had cause to need a recovery but had never used Rewind before. They responded to our request within about an hour.
Fortunately, we resolved the issue internally and didn't need to recover in the end but they (Bianca) followed up on this with a lovely email. This has given us a very good impression of Rewind so far.
They raised the pricing by double without announcing it.
Is there also a bigger benefit ?

The team are fantastic - they've been so responsive and helpful in helping us get going with over 20+ stores! The piece of mind knowing they're backing up is amazing; with so many products, orders, content - and a large team engaging in the site management - it's great to know the backups will be there should we ever need them.
We've been using Rewind for a few years & was convenient to have old listings archived without having them present in the background. While Rewind was probably our favorite app on our list, they slipped when they notified us of a soon-to-be price increase from an affordable $9/mo to $19/mo. This price increase in this economy is not sustainable to the small business that already a ticket holder on the struggle-bus. On the hunt for another service that offers the same support minus the huge price per month.
Installed 3 years ago as a way to make sure I sleep at night but never had a need for it, and personally was slightly questioning the monthly cost. Yesterday we had an issue with an app uninstalling badly from our store resulting in us losing some functionality. An initial restore got most things sorted, reached out to the team and within 2 hours a full restore of other parts was done by the team and everything is up and running again.
I've been using them for years, but never needed to do a back up until last week. It was a very specific backup that I couldn't do myself, but customer support helped after two or three emails.
