I placed three test orders on Monday, September 30th. Two canvas and one framed print. The company gave me three free orders up to a certain dollar amount, so I thought I'd try it. The items arrived on Saturday - lightning fast. I'll admit that I was skeptical since their canvas prints are considerably cheaper than my current supplier. But the print and durability are easily tied for the best canvas I've ever seen. I didn't give the app 5 stars because the framed print wasn't the best. The plexiglass was dirty, and it didn't seem durable like the canvas prints. Still, I'm extremely happy with my orders.

I used this app to start my POD journey. The order fulfill time is very impressive. I got two orders one for Gelato and other for Printify. Gelato is already shipped while Printify is still in process. Easy to use app and mockups are good. Integration and UI of the app and the platform is also very user-friendly. I am planning to use this instead of other POD apps.

AVOID THEM AT ANY COST! Gelato is a big time scammer and they have no control over their printing partners. All they do is COVID COVID COVID. They are advertising fake Dec 10 deadlines for Christmas orders and now the orders placed on Dec 3 shows estimated delivery of 29th (this is fake too and keeps on extending). They will take your money and forget about orders. 11 days and they couldn't even ship a print. And don't even try to reach out to me again. I am done with you SCAMMERS! You guys have ruined my business and they will ruin yours.

We are sorry to read this type of review. We try to always be genuine and honest in our communication. It is extremely rare to get this type of review, but we of course will try to relate to your feelings about your experience with Gelato in a professional way.
You are obviously very frustrated about the impact of COVID-19 and so are we. We are not only frustrated, but we are deeply concerned since some of our team members and employees at our partners are impacted personally by the disease. Our priority has and will continue to be the health and safety of all team members and partners working with Gelato orders.
Some of the impact of this pandemic- apart from the well being of the community- is felt with fewer staff members at our print partners, a boom in global eCommerce, and general delays at most major logistics providers. We always seek to improve our operations and our communication with customers about their order status, but unfortunately we cannot influence these global factors impacting production and transportation.
We have identified 2 orders in your account that are delayed. We have reached out to you separately via email with an update about these 2 orders including all actions underway for the delivery of these orders.

We love the service and satisfied with the production quality, but recently we have seen something totally unacceptable that must be fixed NOW!
When setting up a product in Gelato for your store, the resolution and quality of the preview images placed on your product are high compression/low quality and low resolution. This creates a preview image that trashes your design. We have learned from potential customers that they think this is the quality of the final product and do not buy because of it. This is just terrible and results in significant lost sales. Now we understand why!

Gelato can be good, but it can also be very bad. I was having a great experience for the first week, then Gelato started cancelling orders without notice (Customer pays, Gelato prints, Gelato Cancels without reason). Shipping time takes about 14 days for most of our orders, unwarranted cancellations have spontaneously shown up, and the live chat support has been useless as well. I do not recommend this app, use printful or a more reputable company.

The inventory and fulfillment system could use some improvement. There were lots of issues with delay due to restocking and inaccurate syncing of inventory shown on platform vs. actual inventory in-house. It seems like there are also communication issues with the print stations, it often takes days, sometimes took more than a week just to track down the status of an order. Customer service has also been very unreliable as 50% of the time will not follow through with action even if they made the promise in the chat/over email. I literally have to follow up on a daily basis to get the update I need.

We launched frames last year and we now support 250 variants of frames and hangers across 32 countries - not an excuse, just an explanation. During this time, we have learned a lot about the global fulfillment of frames and how to improve stock management. We have now placed orders for larger volumes of our best-selling frames and added more print partners that can stock frames in each region. Finally, we are improving the accuracy of our stock inventory and adding more ways for you to keep up to date with any changes.
