I used this app to be able to communicate in real time with my potential customers and for the most part, it works well. I would like to have it send a chime alert on my phone for new messages, but currently, it does not.

Please bring it to Android and Windows.
The idea is great, but does not work for me due to the restriction of IOS platforms.

Thank you for your feedback. We are happy to report that the Android version of Ping is coming very soon, so Android users can take advantage of Shopify Chat.

I would like to be able to disable where chat tells me a person is back online. If that is going to pop up everytime someone logs back in that will be annoying

The notification for when a person is back online was implemented so you don't miss any opportunities for chatting - we were hoping that would not be too disruptive. However, you should only receive a sound notification and red dot if the customer leaves a new message, and that new message will be at the top of the chain.

Really good app - not just for messaging with customers but also the FAQs and quick answers. Just hope that promised Instagram link works well.
One request is that variants can be linked to from the app linked to the generic product type isn't good enough.

Useful app to answer customer queries on the go. Very useful that messages both from the site and Facebook end up in the same place.

So far so good. I love that it allows us to help our customers instantly. The only thing that bothers me is that there seems to be a delay when using on desktop. I hear my mobile pinging and then like 30 seconds later it pops up on my desktop. I don't like that there is an unnecessary delay in responding to the customers who are usually ready to purchase right then & there. But other than that, it's working great.

While the delay of messages between a desktop and a mobile device could be due to various factors, such as the internet connections on the devices or how different types of devices relay the data, it's also worth noting that often times it takes mobile devices less time to load the data. Its a beloved feature for our customers. If only the app would support notification for multiple stores - that is so important for us and I guess many other multiple store owners.

I'm so pleased you are using the app to establish connections with your customers. We have received similar feedback that merchants would like to use Shopify Ping on multiple stores. Although this is not a feature that is currently available (our developers are looking into this), I do have a work around. If you have two devices - like an Ipad and Iphone - you can use each device to log into separate stores.

Hoping this leads to increased conversations and conversions.
