Omnisend may seem simple on the surface, but it hasn’t been. They helped me migrate over from Yotpo, and I had only recently started sending SMS campaigns when my account was suspended due to a high number of unsubscribes. Honestly, that was fine with me because I needed to clean up my contact list anyway. Now, however, I’m being put through a long process just to reactivate the account.

On top of that, customer support has been very slow to respond throughout the process, which has made resolving the issue even more frustrating.

At this point, I’m already looking for a new provider, and I’d recommend choosing carefully when selecting an SMS and email marketing platform.

Thank you for sharing your experience. Migrating platforms and then running into a suspension shortly after is genuinely disruptive, and we understand why this has been frustrating.

When a high volume of unsubscribes occurs in a short window, our systems flag it automatically. This is in place to protect sender reputation and deliverability for all users on the platform, since unchecked sending patterns can cause lasting damage to a domain. Even when the intent is legitimate, like cleaning up a list post-migration, the review process still needs to run its course to make sure everything checks out.

We hear that it felt slow and heavier than expected, and we appreciate your being direct about it.

This review is solely about their Gym Membership business model. You are unable to downgrade your subscription unless you contact their live chat, which takes a while and is meant to deter you from downgrading and to keep your subscription. Omnisend wants you to speak with a retention representative, which shows they do not care about the user, only about receiving subscription dues.

To clarify: downgrading to the Free plan doesn't require going through a retention representative. It can be done directly in your account under Store Settings > Pricing and Usage > Cancel. When the chat routes you to our team first, it's because we genuinely want to understand the reason behind the change, so we can improve and make sure you're on the right plan for your needs. It wasn't meant to create barriers, but we completely understand how it felt that way, and that's fair feedback we'll take seriously.

Our support team also offered to handle the downgrade for you directly in the chat, and we're glad they were able to step in quickly.

Omnisend is very user-friendly, and their customer service is wonderful! I get human contact within a few minutes of requesting help and each time they have managed to resolve my issue quickly. I'm glad that I selected Omnisend after so much research online. If you're still looking for an email marketing app, I would highly recommend them to you! :)

Haven't been here all too long, but have never had an issue. And when I had a question, they responded right away and were very helpful. Would recommend to anyone just starting out, it's easy to use, very aesthetic, and super good for keeping an eye on analytics!

Intuitive enough and plenty of instruction if needed. A plentitude of features that cann drive real results. Wish we had signed up sooner. Ideal for the smaller, upscaling business without becoming overwhelming (like Klavyio).

The best platform EVER! I have been using Omnisend for a number fo years now and I have always been so impressed with the platform. When I have experienced a little issue (which has been probably once in this time I have been using the platform) they have been incredibly helpful in getting it resolved for me. Pricing is a Scam. They show one price here and on their website it is totally different. They tell me they bill based on the Amount of contacts not the Subscribers. I smell a RAT, stay away!!!!!!

The Shopify App Store shows our base starting price of $16 for the Standard plan, which applies to accounts with up to 500 contacts. Pricing scales based on the total number of contacts in your account, which is why you saw a different amount when viewing plans for your specific account audience size.

Our billing is based on billable contacts, which includes both subscribers and non-subscribers. Non-subscribers are contacts who can still receive valuable automated emails like abandoned cart reminders, order confirmations, and post-purchase follow-ups through our platform. We understand this model can feel unexpected, especially if you were anticipating billing based solely on subscribers, and we appreciate you sharing that feedback with us.

We're aware that the way pricing is displayed on Shopify has caused confusion, and our team is actively working on making this clearer. Just signed up a couple of months ago. The pricing is exactly what we expected it to be and there were no surprises (despite what some other reviews state). We came from another large provider and were treated like just one of 1000's of their customers. When problems started, we had nowhere to turn. We looked at 2-3 other, very large providers, but could not warrant spending nearly $1000 a month, so we turned to Omnisend.

Omnisend has some great features and some that do cost extra if you decide to add them. But, they have a GREAT feature where you do not pay per email, but rather per email that you CONTACT. That alone has really driven down our costs.

Overall, we have been happy, continue to learn and tweak the system and hope to keep using it for years to come.
