Its ok to print with a printer A4 for example but if you want to print with a ticket printer it's impossible
Hi, there! When printing packing slips and invoices these are typically printed on full pages, which may be why a ticket printer wouldn't function correctly. That said, it sounds like you may be trying to print a custom template. I'd like to find out more about what you're hoping to print out so that we can see what your options are. I'll send you an email shortly and we can take a look together. Talk soon! - Brie, Shopify Support
I don't really care for this app very much but it's about the only thing that's truly free. The invoice template, if you can call it that is terrible. Printing an invoice/receipt should be a function that is standard, not have to be an add in!!
When you print an order, the template uses the current date instead of the date when the order was created. Not sure how it works in other countries but in my country the tax authorities want the invoice to show when it was actually created. One of the screen-shots above show the incorrect template {{"now" | date: "%m%d%y" }}.
Hey, there. Thanks for taking the time to leave us a review for the Order Printer app. I jumped into my own store and tested this behaviour and confirmed that the date of the invoice is dynamic - meaning that it changes to the current date when you print the invoice. If you're looking to change this, you'll want to looking into creating a custom template, or edit the coding of the current template you use to have the date of the order creation added to the invoice. You can reach out to our Live Team (https://bit.ly/2AWw5VA) to get information on our scope of support with these changes, and to see if we can support you directly with adding this information. -Imogen, Shopify Support
Is it possible to print in spanish language? Until now I have been sharing notes in english to my customers...
Thank you for reaching out and writing your review. At this time, all templates for the Order Printer app are in English and there aren't any other languages that are supported. It would be possible to translate the templates into Spanish but this would require a fair bit of work and some knowledge of HTML. If this is something you wanted help with, you could seek to hire a Shopify Expert: https://bit.ly/3p9T9Fm.
We appreciate you sharing your feedback with us and I'll be sure to pass your comments on to our app development team. -Victor, Shopify Support
Thanks for the nice app Shopify.
Great app! Very simple and easy to use. Just click and print. Would like for it to be simpler to customize with logo etc. But still great. And Free!
Does not work on Safari (latest version). Doesn't even launch the app. I took a look at the reviews and it seems to be a recurring issue for many people for quite some time. However no word from the developer in the FAQ or app description.
Only returns: "We're sorry, but something went wrong. We've been notified about this issue and we'll take a look at it shortly." for the last three days. Very bad performance and just not usable apparently.
Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. I'm sorry to hear that you've been having difficulty with printing your orders for the last few days, and I appreciate you bringing this to our attention. Have you already tried clearing your cache and cookies: (https://bit.ly/3cF33HW) before reattempting to access the app through the Chrome browser?
I don't see any live issues regarding this, but I'd be happy to take a closer look at this for you. I've gone ahead and sent you an email requesting more information to see how we can get this addressed for you as soon as possible. Hope to hear from you soon! - Ryder, Shopify Support
Worked fine with iPad but not with iMac which is a real pity because I am very happy with the iPad version. Hope they will iron out the hiccups.
A great little app. We decided to solve the problem of customizing the templates by creating an app which provides professional and customizable Order Printer templates without touching any code yourself :)
It's available in the Shopify app store now: https://apps.shopify.com/order-printer-templates
Hope this helps others using this app to get more out of it. Thumbs up!
