I discovered the app was not working. For the past year, we've never used more than 500 impressions which is what you get with the free plan, even though we've been paying for the 10,000 impressions per month. there was no communication about this by email or within shopify. I discovered the problem doing a routine review of app usage and expenses. The pushowl chat agent did provide the usage stats, but only after first saying they usage history was not available. Chat was responsive, but was primarily focused on upselling services, even though they did provide information when asked. Two stars because the app does what it is designed to do, but didn't bother to notify us when it needed attention to continue working.

We were struggling to get the service set up and running. Brevo's customer service rep Reese refused to set up a 30 minute orientation call. Apparently we don't have a high enough subscription package. Don't be fooled. Unless you have a premium subscription package you can only receive email help where they will send you link to docs you have to sift through to try and find answers. They did find time to call me several times to try and sell me more email sends and a higher subscription package. The sales guy was trying so hard to keep me on the phone it was almost comical. I was holding my 11month old son who was crying and he asked if I could get on a 5 minute demo call. I told him no I needed to go take care of my son and he kept pushing saying "yes but it will only take 5 minutes of your time." Their work flow currently is -- if a brand new customer is struggling to get the service to work properly, deny an orientation call to get them in a good place and call them multiple times to get them sell them more stuff. We asked them to cancel the service once and they did not address it in their reply. We have asked to cancel it for a 2nd time. I will provide an update if they refused to address it again. Be careful with this company. They do not care about your marketing success only selling you more stuff. Would not recommend and would not use again even if they try to fix the horrible experience we have had. Disgusting company.

Migrating systems is a massive challenge, and I initially didn't know where to start, especially with the Shopify integration. Doesn't work if you use a different email address for Brevo and Shopify.

It'll create a second Brevo account. This is a known bug but they haven't patched it.

No self closure for the erroneously created second Brevo account, so you'll have work with different support teams. For us we had one ticket for our actual account, one for PushOwl, and another for the erroneously created account.

Easier for us to just manually export and import segmented Shopify lists.

Amazing customer support. I’m quite new to email marketing and not a developer. AI helped me create some HTML templates, but I still needed help with setting up Brevo and fixing a few issues that weren’t picked up.

Anjali from the Brevo support team was incredibly helpful. She quickly identified the problems, explained the errors in my code, and guided me through the filter setup. She even made some changes to get everything working smoothly with automations.

Really appreciate the support — it made a big difference. I’d definitely recommend them.
