I've been using Weglot to translate my Shopify website, and the experience has been excellent. The support team was incredibly helpful and responsive when I faced a minor issue with the Quick View in a new theme. They resolved it quickly, and everything works perfectly now. Highly recommend Weglot for seamless translations and top-notch customer support
App was working well even though setup is not easy if you have a complicated local structure. Suddenly something broke in the DNS. Our site went down for over 48 hours and the Support Team were exceptionally poor. We have moved away from the app which was a great idea but expensive in the end and unreliable.
I work with Weglot now for around half a year and the experience is very pleasing! Especially accurate translation are in our business sector very important and Weglot delivers! I would like to highlight also the excellent support!!
This is the best localization app we have found so far. We've been using it for nearly a year and are quite happy with the result.
The support is superfast and helpful, which is I think the key element of the success.
We will stick to weglot when we localize the next language for sure.
Don't install this app, super expensive, and also I have deleted it and it still on my site.

About the leftover code, note that now Weglot is able to remove all its code related to the Shopify API automatically.

1-Star (Wish I Could Give 0) – Deceptive Billing & Unauthorized Charges
I canceled my subscription two months ago, yet I’m still being charged
325/ month. When I signed up I picked the 39/month Business plan, but the platform automatically enabled a hidden "Volume Upgrade" option—something I never noticed or consented to. Because of this deceptive practice, I was charged over $300/month for four months before realizing what happened.
Even after canceling, the charges continue. This is predatory behavior—shame on this company for exploiting customers with sneaky auto-upgrades and ignored cancellations.
I’ve already taken action by:
Reporting to the BBB (Better Business Bureau)
Disputing all charges with American Express
Filing complaints with relevant consumer protection agencies

We want to clarify that our Auto-Upgrade feature is not enabled by default— it must be manually activated. It's designed to ensure your website stays fully translated even if your word count exceeds the plan limit, and we make this clear during setup and in our documentation.
That said, we understand it can sometimes be overlooked, and we're always happy to review it and check further with our customers to see exactly what happened.
Regarding the ongoing charges, it appears that your subscription was not fully canceled, which is why billing continued.
Canceling on Shopify or uninstalling the app doesn't automatically cancel your subscription with Weglot, as billing is handled separately.
In any case, note that we processed the refund of the related charges for you.

I will be honest and say that, in the beginning, I found this app quite complicated and kept going back to more simple apps from competitors only to get massively frustrated by their lack of functionality. So, in the end, I took some time to read the massive amount of documentation that Weglot provide (including videos) and bring myself up to speed and I have not been disappointed - this app is the only one on the market that has such capabilities (trust me, I tried them all). And then, when I am unable to proceed (due to my own limited skills) the support team are just outstanding - quick and so helpful, I really haven't had an experience like this. My store is now totally translated into EN, FR and NL perfectly - thanks, Weglot.
