If customer service matters to you, you should have a system like zendesk to allow to centralize all your communication in one dashboard. I have been using Zendesk forever. And the fact that they bought Zopim Chat and integrated it into their system was a dream come true. A+++ Zendesk.

I think if you want to give a professional support to your customers/visitors Zendesk is the best app i have ever seen.

Nicolesy Store pretty much wrote the review that I would write: as a 1-person show, most of my customer service email was just flowing through my business email. However, ZenDesk lets my customers get an immediate response telling them how and when I'll be able to get back to them (which I can edit based on the time of year for my seasonal shop) and then keeps track of the string of emails as I work through them.
The one thing I really like, however, only works at the moment for Online orders in Shopify. I can view Customer info and their Order info right in ZenDesk by following the Shopify/ZenDesk integration instructions. However, it seems that ZenDesk hasn't yet set up the ability to access the POS (in-person, point-of-sale) orders made via Shopify. So those orders, which is the majority of mine, unfortunately, do not show - just an error message.
Apparently, the ability to link with Shopify POS via an app is a pretty new thing. Hopefully as ZenDesk updates its software, the ability to view BOTH online and POS orders will become possible. But at the moment, no.
Otherwise, even a luddite like me could figure out how to set up and use ZenDesk within an evening and I like it.
I'm a one-person store, and so using an app to consolidate my customer service emails never really crossed my mind. Because it's just me, all of my customer emails were routed to my personal email inbox, but when I would have big campaigns my inbox would get flooded. Using Zendesk, even for just a few weeks, has made a huge difference in responding to customer emails, both behind-the-scenes and for what the customer sees.
One of the things I like about it is that there are apps you can add within Zendesk to show things like Shopify orders from that customers, and even Mailchimp activity. Setup was simple, it connected easily and I was able to add a "Help" button on my Shopify page. I was even able to forward other emails (such as the ones that customers would reply to from a newsletter) so that they all are re-routed to my Zendesk account.
I highly recommend this for everyone with an online store. It's really inexpensive (if you're a small shop, you can get away with the $1/month plan); I opted for the next level ($29/month) to get a few extra features.
I have been trying to customize the tab for over a month. Everytime I ask for support, I get forwarded to a technical support link that contains language I am not familiar with. The website is http://www.florencescoveljewelry.com/ and the tab is support that appears on the left hand side. For the subject line. I just want it to be a drop-down menu. After spending about an hour on the phone with them, they told me they cannot resolve this and this is shopify's problem. After not resolving my issue, they told me only service team can do this and they charge me extra to help me. I think they do this on purpose so that the customer ends up paying more for an easy fix. I dont have an issue with it but please fix it soon.

Works great ! Initially had some problems with the install but once i figured it out its extremely easy and simple integration. Here are some tricks if you are having trouble:
1) The zendesk shopify app is just a link to zendesk. You have to go to your zendesk profile and go to apps and search for shopify to get the real integration.
2) Once there the app description will pretty much tell you what to do, like how to get the api keys from your shopify. This said, there were a few confusing points to take into consideration.
a) your shop url is in the form: https//:storename.myshopify.com . Use this format when installing the app
b) The order id filed id, is the unique id of the ticket field that you have created in zendesk that will have the order number in it. This can be found by going to the ticket field section, clicking on the new ticket field that you have created. The unique id will then be shown. Its usually like a 6 figure number.
Once I got these things settled all worked fine :) !

I finally got reply from the manager, Maxime, after he reviewed my case, he helped me right away, and respond my email within a day.
and now my zendesk works perfectly.
I changed my rate from 1 star to 5 stars, all because Maxime's help.
If you are looking for customer services app on shopifty, Zendesk is the best choice, and if you have low budget, you always can start at as low as only $1.

Like the concept of Zendesk,
But i cant install the zendesk with my shopify and contacted with support team almost a month. But i did not hear from them for almost two weeks.
Do not waste your time to deal with them.
Zendesk is nice. It's easy to reply to Facebook, Twitter and emails on iPad, iPhone, android device and desktop. And especially cheap for first one year.
