We’ve been using Loox for a while now and honestly it’s been great. Setup was easy, the widgets look clean, and photo reviews make a big difference in trust compared to text-only reviews.
Everything runs smoothly in the background - review requests go out, reminders work, and we don’t really have to think about it, which is exactly what you want from an app like this. It integrates well with our theme and hasn’t caused any performance issues.
Support has also been responsive the few times we’ve needed help, which we appreciate.
We've been using LOOX since 2017. They have been great to work with and great for our business. The app is easy to use and customize to make it fit your website's style.
Super easy to use and customizable. Been using it for years. I had a question about the app and email their customer service and they wrote back almost immediately. Super impressed with their service, highly recommend!
Loox is a platform that has outgrown my needs
I’ve been a Loox user for many years, and during that time I’ve watched the platform steadily become more expensive while its core value has narrowed. The focus has shifted toward adding secondary features, while the simple, elegant review experience that originally made Loox great has become increasingly constrained by pricing tiers.
What I need as a store owner is straightforward: a clean, reliable review app that makes it easy and rewarding for customers to leave honest reviews and photos. That authenticity directly improves trust and conversions, and it’s the primary reason I use a review platform at all.
Loox still does this well, but the monthly review limits seriously undermine the value. Being capped at 300 reviews per month across all plans makes it feel like you’re constantly being nudged to upgrade, even when your needs haven’t changed. At this point, unless cost truly doesn’t matter, I can’t recommend Loox as a first choice anymore.
Other review apps have caught up over the years, and it’s refreshing to finally have viable alternatives. I hope the increased competition pushes Loox to revisit its pricing structure. The feature sets per plan are solid, but the review limits are the real problem. Removing them entirely and adjusting entry-level pricing would be a much more honest and compelling approach.
We've been using Loox for 5 years and couldn't be happier. The way reviews are displayed is simply the best. We've looked at other review apps over the years and they've all fallen short compared to Loox.
Loox offers many visually appealing ways to display your reviews with high customisability.
Their customer service is quick and always helpful. Would recommend to any merchant, big or small.
We have been working with LOOX since we started 10 years.
We proudly gathered over 20k reviews avg on 4.6/5
Thank you, LOOX, for gathering our reviews and being part of our brand growth.
The emailers are extremely costly and even after disabling their email service, we are being charges continuously. We’d highly recommend you opt for better and cheaper alternatives than Loox. It isn’t worth the cost they charge & they also restrict you from using other email service providers to limit everything to themselves & to keep things in their own control.
Nor worth the price you pay !
Hey, I’m sorry to hear that the recent charge came as a surprise. We aim to be as clear as possible about our pricing, with all information shared across our website, the Shopify app page, and directly in the app. Our intention is to offer meaningful value through features that help grow traffic, improve sales performance, and support returning customers.
I have also contacted you by email to clarify anything needed. Feel free to respond whenever it works for you, and we will be happy to help.
even though you unpublished the review, they can still be seen on google. Any crazy person can write you a horrible untrue review or just give you 1 star for nothing and even though you "unpublished" it, they are still shown on google. before getting this app, make sure you know this.
Hey, thanks so much for sharing your feedback. In order to participate in Google’s Product Ratings program, merchants are required to follow specific guidelines set by Google. We’d love to continue the conversation and address any concerns you may have, we've reached out to you via email, please feel free to get back to us when convenient - we'd be happy to help.
Really pleased with the help I received today. I had been unable to add the reviews to my collection page for several months and finally decided to reach out and Rain M from Loox replied immediately and inserted a custom code for me and got my problem solved in a matter of minutes from when I sent the email. Thank you so much!
This review is about Reviewers.com (a service that’s part of Loox). We tested it and gifted 10 sets of 3 framed prints to their “reviewers,” with a total cost of $2,700. So far (almost one month after delivery), we’ve received 8 reviews instead of 10.
One review was negative and misleading. The reviewer stated that the prints were “not glass like it claimed to be,” even though this was not stated on the product page. They also said the quality was “terrible,” yet didn’t show any specific defect in the video. Without the caption, sound, or text, the video would actually look like a positive showcase of nice prints. This makes the process feel unreliable, even though Loox promised honest reviews.
We also received a few very unprofessional reviews that appear to have been left quickly just to unlock more free products from other brands. Their policy prevents reviewers from requesting new gifts until they leave a review, but there don’t seem to be meaningful consequences for reviewers who never submit one — which likely explains the two missing reviews.
Other important limitations:
You can’t approve or choose who receives your products.
It doesn’t seem like Reviewers.com thoroughly vets reviewers.
To be fair, we did receive 2 really great reviews. But overall, based on our experience, the results didn’t justify the cost and felt risky for brands.
Hey, thank you so much for your feedback. We built this platform to provide merchants with valuable visual social proof, and we’re sorry to hear that your experience didn’t meet your expectations. While each member of the community is vetted with a sample review before they’re allowed to join, we’re redefining the community standards for quality and are now re-vetting the entire community to ensure they meet our heightened bar. Although we can’t guarantee a 100% response rate, we send multiple reminders to reduce ghosting, and any Reviewer who doesn’t leave a review on a product is not allowed to participate in future campaigns.
