AVOID SHIPBOB LIKE THE PLAGUE! They catfish you wish low shipping fees (at first my average cost to ship sat at around $7), and storage fees - however every time they receive a new shipment they give a NEW pick spot and NEVER consolidate, so you pay triple in my case in some instances.... the method of working out shipping fees magically changed after 6 months, doubling my shippings. Despite this - You cannot get your stock out without crazy costs and they will not allow you to pick up, you must pay to have it shipped at their exorbitant costs (which is the reason to move away in the first place). Customer service is awful (based in India and impossible to have a phone call with anyone. They advertise there is a chat service and number, but these are rarely manned and the chatbot is useless. I know 4 other brands who have fallen for Shipbob's over-promising/under-delivering sales pitch and all have either moved or are in the process of leaving. The biggest mistake this financial year was onboarding ShipBob.
The one thing they do well is pick/ship quickly.
If you are in the market for an Australian based 3PL, avoid Shipbob at all costs if you value your time, money or sanity!
Short summary of our experience:
- SO MANY lost parcels due to use of cheap carriers.
- Once parcels are lost, the overseas support team have no idea how to resolve the issue and they build up with no resolution, leading to upset customers.
- Overcharged based on the agreed pricing which they refused to acknowledge for approx 4 x weeks. They finally folded and agreed to credit us the over charged amounts over 6 weeks ago and the credit has still not been received after 6 follow ups.
- Increased our pricing without prior notice or our consent.
- Storage is double the market rates.
- Inventory receipts overcharged (over $450 for 6 x pallets).
- Any issues raised take weeks to resolve with multiple follow ups.
Dealing with Shipbob was one of the most frustrating experiences our business has encountered over the last 3 years. Since moving to a new 3pl we have been very happy we are pleased Shipbob no longer consumes hours of our day.
Overall ShipBob has been a good experience. My merchant success specialist has been a really big help. I do wish the app/website was more mobile friendly. It's very hard to navigate and many of the features are next to impossible to do when not on a computer. I work 90% from my phone so it's a struggle. The shopify integration is pretty solid. I do notice quite a bit of delay sometimes with tracking crossing over from shipbob to shopify. Sometimes it never crosses over at all so I have to add it manually but it's pretty rare. No problems with order syncing, it's fast and accurate. Overall I would recommend!
Thanks for your feedback on the mobile site. It's true - some pages are not meant to view on a mobile device. To be honest, it's intentional! Some of the info is so dense, we don't think a mobile experience would do it justice. However -- the Order Details page should be fully mobile-compliant, so perhaps bookmarking that would be helpful.
Regarding the delay - this really does surprise me. Our tracking sync with Shopify is almost instantaneous - but it occurs when the package leaves our facility and goes into the carriers' hands, NOT when the tracking number is created. That's a big difference - sometimes can be a day depending on when the order is packed. This is again intentional - because we dont want you having a ton of blank tracking numbers causing WISMO (where is my order) questions. But -- if you email me at partnerships@shipbob.com with a few examples, I can troubleshoot for you.
Cheers!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY TO FULFILL YOUR PRODUCTS!! I have used shipbob for over 2 years now and thought they were decent, minor issues but nothing crazy. Until one day out of the blue they told me they could no longer ship my product because of some sort of policy, BUT THEY HAD ALREADY BEEN SHIPPING THIS ITEM FOR ME FOR MONTHS to thousands of customers. They stopped shipping out any of my orders so I had no way to fulfil orders product to thousands of pending orders. The customer support is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE, I found a new warehouse within 1 day and have been trying to get shipbob to ship my inventory from their warehouse to my new fulfilment centre AND THEY HAVE NOT EVEN SHIPPED IT YET! IT'S BEEN OVER 3 WEEKS SINCE I'VE ASKED THEM TOO!!! My business has lost hundreds of thousands of dollars and I've had to pause all marketing and refund orders that Shipbob could not fulfill. PLEASE NEVER USE THIS COMPANY! You are much better off using Ship Dudes or Ship Monk - much better shipping and customer service experience overall. I am at a loss for words on how terrible this company is and how terrible they treat their customers and business they work alongside. Do yourself a favor and use someone else!

Software has powerful analytics
Almost 100% order fulfillment rate
Ritesh has been a helpful account manager
Areas for improvement are investigating patterns in unsuccessfully delivered orders and improving processes to prevent the same error from happening for future orders.
The app itself works fine. However dropoffs and pickups are routinely missed and inventory is too often lost. Human interaction with the warehouse is not timely. It works fine for small parcel, but as you scale to containers and pallets you will have issue after issue.
Shipbob has been great to work with so far. I love that I have a dedicated account rep who can help me sort out whatever issue may be happening. I definitely am very happy with the service.
Shipbob has been able to offer great solutions to our needs from a 3PL. We were nervous about the change but now we don't look back!
Installation of the App was extremely easy and we had someone help us onboard who was there whenever we needed, so it made the process far from intimidating. When it comes to speed and reliability of order ingestion, the process is fairly straight forward and easy. If you have inventory ready, the process is seamless. I would say the only hiccup is with Amazon FBA orders but Shipbob is always willing to help. Overall when it comes to tracking upload speed, communication of order progress, and speed ShipBob has been a great partner. As with any 3PL there will always be some issues, it's the nature of the business, but it's good to know that we can rely on ShipBob's technical support team to get things figured out.
Hi Komuso team - would love to unpack that FBA issue with you. I know the new workflow was rolled out recently, perhaps we can make some improvements there that make it easier for you! Please get in touch with your Merchant Success manager or email me at partnerships@shipbob.com.

Highly recommend ShipBob for B2C orders. They make the process much easier, transparent, and with analytics! Their team is also passionate about making sure you get all the support you need via email, phone, and scheduled meetings. They're quickly expanding internationally too, so there's a lot of opportunity to grow with them. They're still building up their B2B services. If your products are not fragile or heavy and can be shipped on pallets for B2B with their shipping services, I still recommend them. Unfortunately for us, our products are fragile, heavy, and parcel only, and the B2B services wasn't a good match. We tried their service where we make our own labels for B2B orders too but it didn't work out. They're extremely good at making shipping labels for you though! Truly an automated system if you let them take over fulfilment for you.
Hi Ferris Wheel Press team -- I'm sorry to hear our B2B/wholesale process didn't work for you. I'm going to ping your Merchant Success specialist to see if there are any workarounds coming down our feature pipeline... stay tuned!
- Kevin from ShipBob
There is some good, and a lot of bad with this company.
Good: They ship orders promptly. They integrate with a lot of different ecommerce service providers.
Bad: Their shipping prices are ABSURDLY high. Shipping shoes from Texas to Colorado with ShipBob is $46. With Shopify Shipping it's $10. I cannot ask my customers to pay that much, so I have been eating about $18 of shipping on every sale. Storage - they talk about $40 per pallet and a price for shelves, without telling you how much can fit on a shelf. I can fit all my inventory on 22 pallets. So should be $880, right? But they are storing it on shelves and charging me $2600 a month. When a customer returns an item, shipBob takes 10 days AFTER IT ARRIVES, to even acknowledge arrival, much less inspect the product. Customers cannot wait that long for refunds or exchanges so I am processing those all manually early, taking the risk of damaged product. They use sketchy shipping subcontractors that leave your product sitting in a warehouse for a month on the regular. They lose packages in their own warehouse before pickup and blame the carrier. I am moving all my inventory out as we speak.
