We own our own store in addition to owning a 3PL that ships for other e-retailers. Moving to ShipHero has been one of the easiest and most pleasant experiences we've had in our years of existence.
Previously we had to manage inventory with one app and then ship with another. This meant we had to develop a lot of processes for returns, shipping, and inventory that jumped from platform to platform. Now we're able to handle it all in one place which as created so many efficiencies for our team.
Above all, their team is incredibly responsive to any issues that come up and they're very accommodating to features and requests that we've had. I really can't recommend them enough.
We previously used ShipHero with Magento EE, but recently moved to Shopify Plus. We are now managing several Shopify Plus stores with ShipHero and it works like a dream.
Some of the best things about ShipHero are:
- iPad based, no more paper everywhere.
- Full control with bin locations and overstock.
- Fast and accurate picking process. We use carts where we pick into several totes for each picking session, and barcodes are used to verify.
- Fast packing process with another round of verification by scanning barcodes or confirming manually.
- Returns.
- Cycle counting.
- Statistics that greatly help when creating purchase orders. You can set re-order levels and amounts, saving you an incredible amount of time. ShipHero tells you how much you sold in the last 7/30/60/90/180/365 days.
- Lots of useful reports that seems to get better all the time.
- Amazing support!
If you ship anything above 50 orders per day and/or have lots of SKUs with the need for bin and overstock bin locations, the monthly cost is definitely worth it! Using this vs the standard Shopify shipping workflow is like day and night. We had another WMS before ShipHero aimed at larger retailers, so we have tried others, but we are getting faster and more efficient packing and picking with ShipHero.
Conclusion: Highly recommended!
We use ShipHero to run our operation. We have several shopify stores and sell on Amazon, eBay and Walmart. We peak at a bit over 1,000 orders a day.
ShipHero is the most sophisticated software for running an ecommerce business. ShipHero syncs inventory automatically and works great. ShipHero allows us to ship quickly and accurately. We use the mobile apps and web app for shipping.
The system is fast, reliable and has a ton of complex functionality.
If you're running an ecommerce business with scale (say over $5million in annual revenue), there is no better solution that ShipHero.

I reached out to shiphero to request a new field in the Automation Rules, to allow us to have a start and stop time and date for offering our customers a free gift with purchase. After contacting a few apps, shiphero was the only one that offered a solution. Now we don't have to manually set this rule!

Amazing app, not the easiest to set up but if your tech-savvy and are willing to spend some time diving in this software is amazing. ONLY issue si have that really bugs me is the support is trash, emails only and takes 24 hours to get help when sometimes i need assistance on something immediately, figure you have customers paying 1k a month or more and they only have emails? Also the reps don't even read your questions properly but just answer what they assume your asking and this results in them answering something you didn't ask, thus more wasted support time for a solution.
It's a good app when it's working.

Hopefully our support team solved the issues you had with your setup as I'm seeing you're shipping successfully, several months after your review. The shipping of orders is amazing - inventory management is horrible it always oversells inventory and the API with Shopify is not working currently. The customer service people are nice but it takes so long to get tech support help when we have urgent issues. (you can pay extra to have support, but why pay for tech support when the product should be working) You also must pay $99/user if you are on the basic plan. We have lots of packers and this is not ideal especially when you're paying for a service that only works 25% of the time. Hoping for improvements but until then I am shopping around for new systems. Also I will mention that when I recently spoke to support he was so nice and I told him my frustration was with the system and not him and he said "yes we get a lot of angry customer calls". Not impressed.

If you want a inventory program that randomly doesn't update your shopify inventory correctly then this is perfect! It also enable you to randomly sell sizes that you do not have in stock ... a great tool for destroying your customer loyalty and retention!
