This app is fantastic. It consistently works as advertised, the developer has built features that actually matter and meet the use case of Shopify stores, and the customer service is incredibly fast. This app has increased our revenue significantly and is worth way more than it costs to install and use. Highly recommend to stores big and small.

(Updated Oct 26/16). Not only did we use this app to plan our manufacturing for our year, but Matt has also been unfailingly and quickly responsive to our email enquiries, which has been very helpful in our countdown-to-store-reopening. :)
We are a tiny fundraising company that manufactures all year long just to have enough stock to sell in November: when we run out of stock, we're really out. Up until now, when we received any late stock or items in exchange, we had no way of keeping track of people who were wanting those particular items and sometimes got stuck with them.
Matt's app has completely changed things for us: we now have an enormous list of customers waiting for certain products and when those products get added to our Shopify inventory, the app automatically emails them and we have had many extra sales as a result.
Better yet, an unintended consequence of this app's functionality is that we think we will be able to modify our sales strategy and spread our manufacturer's work and our work out over a longer period by using the data we get about most desired products.
This app is simple and very effective and it has already been a game-changer for our teeny company, even in the 4 weeks it has been installed.
Matt also has provided stellar back-end support to make his app look great on our store. Highly, highly recommended!

If you're looking for a no-frills (in a good way), highly-customizable Back in Stock app for your Shopify store with a great support team - this is it.
We were doing all of our back in stock notifications manually which was obviously a nightmare. This app automatically emails your customers who have filled out the back in stock form (which we were able to seamlessly integrate into our product page) whenever you adjust the quantity of your inventory. We were able to customize the email to match our current branding and the support team even helped us exclude some products (sale, vintage, etc.) from displaying the button.
We are seeing a great response from our orders and our analytics so far and the workload is literally gone. Thank you!!!

We tried a bunch of in-stock apps and found this one to be significantly more mature. Adding it to the site was a snap, and our customers started using it immediately.
For us, this easily pays for itself every month based solely on the reduction in support requests.

The app is very easy to set up and use. It is incredibly simple for customers to understand how to use it.
We have thousands of T-Shirts and sometimes a particular variant is out of stock but the other sizes are in stock. The app was only showing items that were out of stock for all variants.
We reached out to Matt about setting up an out of stock for one size of a T-shirt. He responded incredibly fast! I sent an email at 2:09pm he responded by 2:17pm.
We exchanged a few emails and by 4:37pm he had the code integrated into the site for us.
AMAZING Customer support. He offered great suggestions. If you are looking for an out of stock app pay your money to Back in Stock and call it a day you will not regret it.
Love this app for multiple reasons! Firstly, the customer service is amazing. Matt reached out immediately when we needed help and even assisted us with coding so that the app worked seamlessly with our site. Secondly, this app provides valuable data for figuring out who your customer is and what's missing from your store (even if you don't ever restock items). Totally recommend!!
This app saves you a lot of time if you have products that sell out quickly. Customers really appreciate being notified when the product they want is back in stock and this app delivers great looking emails.
We just installed this app and we ran into a couple integration issues as we wanted to customize the button and the popup window. Support was very fast and unbelievably helpful. They state support within one business day but we were pleasantly surprised to find it's typically much faster. Everything has been integrated nicely now and we are off and running. It's all about customer support and these guys have nailed it. Not to mention it is a great product that does everything we needed and more.
I previously had to build lists from emails that the site generated for each product, and then build a separate notification email for each one that came back in stock. Ahh! So it's magical that it's all happening automatically now with the Back in Stock app. It's been a huge timesaver, and I really appreciate that it gave us full control over our email creative, and also integrated beautifully into our site's theme with one click. Additionally, Matt has been really helpful in responding to the questions I've had during setup.
