Nothing but trouble with this app and integration with Facebook / Meta.
Have had issues and NO shop for over 6 weeks. Up to 25 attempts to fix the issues trying to contact Meta with no resolution in sight. One thing fixed, another breaks.
Pathetic and costing me sales in the lead-up to Christmas and shop not working.
Not great, sometimes it's connected, other time it's not. Also I had someone from Shopify tell me the issue is because I'm in the UK and not USA as to why my products were active but not showing as active! All products do not sync - right now it's telling me that a Sync has failed but when I click it says no products to show.
Just adds an extra stress to running a small business to be honest.
This app is amazing the fact u can do about anything on this app
really good and helps with sales and a whole host of things a store could need. Highly reccomended.
Meta is not helpful and basically stealing money as they refuse to reimburse money credit that their UX pushed me to put on the "mother" account of the ad manager and which I can't use now since it is not connected to the shop and i can't make advantage + campaign.
Meta makes sure any request for reimbursement, which they should comply to under EU law goes, to the void and that you are activeley discouraged to claim your rights. These are experiences like this that will start the demise of the all Meta, and push back people to offline. This is not a service your are providing, it's a stockholm syndrom.
As per the app itself, in hindsight it did what it should have, only does not give me any freedom to allocate pixel from one shopify store to the "Mother" ad account, keep pushing me to the Facebook account I had to create for the specific business, I think you should be able to connect and select any Instagram or FB page associated under a main account, rather than these being considered separate containers
The Facebook & Instagram app is a fantastic tool for connecting my Shopify store with social media platforms. The setup was relatively easy, and I appreciated how the app streamlined the process of syncing my products for shoppable posts. It has definitely helped in improving my store's visibility and engagement.
However, I did encounter some challenges with product syncing. Occasionally, products would take a while to appear on Instagram, which caused some delays in running promotions. Additionally, navigating the app could be slightly more intuitive, especially for managing multiple accounts.
That said, the customer support team was helpful and responsive in resolving these issues. Overall, this app is a valuable addition to my Shopify store, and I look forward to future updates that might improve its functionality further.
This app is quite easy and quick to install, and get your shop visible on Facebook and Instagram.
If I didn't have to have it, I wouldn't. The app solves nothing, and when things (like the Meta Pixel or Conversions API) breaks, there is no point in going here and clicking about. In fact, I never open this interface, because it serves no value to my business.
How do you reach a real person??? It is IMPOSSIBLE for me to reach a human for help with my Facebook account. I've sent messages after messages just asking if someone could reach out to me to guide me to fixing the issues I am having. It has been over a year and still not one Facebook help support person contact me.
So, now my accounts in limbo. And costing me money.
Ps. I don't like TikTok really. But, easier to get customer support help there than Facebook. Which is ridiculous because of Facebook size and standing.
