Great app that does what it says and makes Shopify more scalable. It is a flexible app that can easily be configured and the support from Bold is good once they work out what you are trying to achieve. I'm very happy and I'd highly recommend this app for a store that sells with options or optional extras. I have had to seek support (on a number occasions) and I haven't found it very easy to get. At least half of the time I look, their online chat function is disabled (I thought it was a glitch but was told by an operator that they take it down when they get busy.....), I have called in and spoken with someone who said they would get back to me once they learn the answer (only they never called back), and I have written emails (mostly recently Wednesday of this week--it is now Saturday) and they take several days (they say 48 hours but in my experience its been longer) to respond.
Edited Nov 25, 2015 -- they have helped me resolve the issue -- took from Oct 19 to Nov 25, but it was resolved. A notice on their website said the Black Friday rush had them scrambling. Overall I like the product enough to keep using it as it does more than the Shopify variants can. I increased the stars from 2 to 3.
Edited Setp 27, 2019 -- its been buggy for a while. Finally with the integration of another feature it became untenable so reached out to Bold for a fix as the cart is not showing pricing and it isn't integrating with the new multi-currency option -- been waiting a week and still waiting for a reply (after multiple attempts to contact them). Been told someone will respond but they don't. I see there are several production option alternatives and at this point, figuring we may need to look there.
Our products require more options that Shopify is constructed to deal with natively so we were forced to find a solution elsewhere. After doing some research we settled on the Product Options app and it has been just what we needed. We've been able to give our customers the variety that they wanted and increase our functionality. Now that conditional logic has been added we're excited to take advantage of it and streamline our inventory even more.
This app is buggy. The conditions don't work half the time. If you're looking to lose money and be frustrated, look no further.

Update: Feb 15, all of my stores options disappeared but thankfully someone was able to log into my store to fix the code within 20 min.
Last night Feb 2, 2024 The app again stopped adding options to products. I tried the same trick of changing the cache's last two digits in the code as they instruct on their website and that didn't work. And I can't use their Refresh App with Shopify button within the app because it will WIPE out all product options for my entire store and they don't warn people about this before hand. I gave them permissions and the options are still "waiting to refresh" 24 hours later. Speaking to customer service will get you frustrated because it seems like no one is actually listening to the issue and they keep recommending the same tricks that I've already explained that I tried or can't because of a bug within the app. I may need to move on and try the competing app offered in the Shopify store. I've used this app since 2016 when it was under BOLD Apps before ShopCircle took it over and I've had nothing but issues since then.
Jan 17th 2023 For the first time in 3 years the app within Shopify went down tonight and will NOT load. All of my product options for my products are not showing and this needs to be fixed. I now get within Shopify Admin a grey page that says: options.shopapps.site refused to connect.
I've checked a few stores that also have product options running and it's not affecting all shops, only some of us which makes me think I'm not on a good server.
They stated they had server issues and that it's fixed but now product changes are taking over 45 minutes to refresh. Still waiting for answers but just getting canned cut and paste responses.

After speaking with Alina from Shop Circle, she was able to get the required changes made and make it look a bit more seamless than it was on the initial install. I'm happy with the changes made and look forward to another 3 years of use.

After having this app for 3 years under Bold and it working perfectly, the app was sold off to a company named Shop Circle. At this point I'm not that impressed and I'm concerned that the service isn't the same as the previous company. I've been left hanging with an open request to install the app on a new Shopify 2.0 theme and it's the only thing holding me back from being able to publish my store. They'll also just log in, makes changes and disappear without a word still leaving the app not functional nor addressing my initial concerns for what needed to be integrated.

I'm on my trial period and I can say the app is great. The support it's great (Ron was my assessor) because they solved my installation problem in hours without an extra charge. My only recommendation is make more clear the installation steps, because it starts really clear, but later there are some confusing points. But they solved it fast and great, and the App is very complete. I will buy the Premium Plan. I recommend it.
